Britain's first 9b!

This is a linkup of four routes. The line starts with Raindogs (5.13b), moves onto and through the crux of Rainshadow (5.14d), onto Batman (5.14d/5.15a) and then finishes up on Batroute (5.14b).

Sit start to Serenity.

Repeated by Adam Ondra in 2012.

The challenging and precise arete located right of the Great Flake.

The route starts on Bat Route and then heads into a section of 8c+, before rejoining Bat Route on the headwall.

Initially graded 9a/a+ it settled at 9a.

Rainshadow is the stunning extension to Raindogs.

Same start as for Northern Exposure, at half-way continue up and link into the last 7 meters of Progress.

Links Dark Art into Reservation.

From the back into 'Dangerous Action Man Wrestling'

Sit at back with left hand on layaway. Make hard morpho moves to the pinch above lip. Slap wildly to the flat hold and finish up the wall/groove above.

The big traverse starting up The Undercut, then traversing rightwards staying at the height of the obvious line of crimps, to finish along Twenty Four Point Nine.

Sit start at right end of Dark Art Roof. Climb up using small crimps to gain good crozzle pinch. Slap to good hold left of corner crack and finish staying on the arete to the top.

Climbing Dark Art to the good lip holds then traverse right into and up beta blocker, gives you a harder 8a.

Start from back layaway under roof. Climb through and get established on the lip holds then finish left into and up the arete.

Follow crimps to a break then jump off.

Extension of 'Thriller'.

From where 'Victor Hugo' traverses right, Hugo Boss now goes straight up via another very hard boulder problem, followed by another hard move left and then straight up to join Zippy's line at the often-wet streak (dry now). From the junction it's still about 7c+ to the top, finishing right up there on the ledge. Steve McClure
