Ascents in Along Road 211 by Ike Miller having trad-cpr or ascent-date

Tried on TR. Nothin' goin'.

Couldn't pull the first roof - the finger jams were good, but this was my fifth day climbing in a row (and the last climb of my trip) and I was absolutely wrecked. Even fresh, I probably still couldn't have TR'd this clean, let alone led it. Maybe one day!

Tried on TR, got shut down by overhanging .75s two thirds of the way up.

Good off-width practice.

Tried and flailed. I really need to work on .75s and tight #1s. This feels like a route I could lead soon, but not quite yet.

First 5.9 trad onsight! Harder than I was hoping, as there were some .75 and tight #1 sections that gave me a little trouble. Still probably 5.9 because of the stemming available, but I would have preferred straight in hand jammies!

TR'd, got off route, and it turned into some of the most fun climbing I've ever done. I followed the handcrack left and topped out the pillar - taking me maybe six feet of nothing but air from the corner finger crack I was supposed to be following. Had to karate kick into the void to get back on route. Couldn't use this beta on lead, but it was awesome on TR!

First 5.10 trad redpoint! Great climb, great day! Milked the rests. The crux was figuring out where to put my foot after I placed a cam in a good pod below the first bulge.

Trashed it. Should have led, but got bailed out when folks took the cams to put up another TR around the corner. I felt only relief.

Milked the rests and felt very accomplished when I clipped the chains.

My first attempt at a 5.10 trad lead. Fell on my first attempt before I had any gear in. Thankfully landed on my feet totally fine, but it spooked me. Then I sewed it up and hung two or three times.

My first attempt at real off-width climbing. Hard!! Made it to the chains on TR, but I was bleeding from several places by the end (a sign of my poor technique).

Came to the Creek solo, went to the parking lot with a sign asking for partners. In 5 minutes, met Aaron and friends from Arizona and climbed with them for the day. Owl Crack was my first Creek climb! Cruised on TR. Beautiful!

Tried to lead but got stuck when it got bigger than my fists near the top - one of my first ever attempts at wide-ish climbing. Lowered, had Charles lead it, and then TR'd. Charles climbed almost the whole thing like a chimney, barely jamming the crack, and cruised it.

Type one fun! Fingers to squeeze, which were both fun to have at this grade, and then a fun top-out on a pillar.
