Ascents in Grandpa Joe's Wall having Beta

Great cruisy arete, reminded me of Arapiles.

10c in the guide. Quite nice and less polished/ overchalked than other routes

Good warm up. Overchalked. Loose chalk should be banned. It’s really pissing me off. Ruins the friction of the holds.

10 b on MP and that feels fair ( Aust 19). Must have cleaned up, only a bit sandy right at the top

Again came down looking like a snow storm had hit me blowing off the ridiculous excess of chalk. Nice arete otherwise.

First route in the Red

So many holds to choose from, made it harder trying to find the best

I never thought slab could be undoable but this is hard!

A tad damp, though fun for a short blunt slabby arete. The crux was soloing up to the first bolt via some tenuous footers.

Fiesty! Pumped out on the vertical wall above the initial overhang. Nice route.

First climb at RRG, felt soft for a 5.9. All the moves were there, a bit steep, and would be pumpy (maybe warranting 5.9) except there were a few decent rests.

Holds are a little deceiving. Glad it wasn’t a mindless jug-haul.

Climbs like a TS route. Not the best warmup.
