Ascents of Commitment having Beta

Mega route, sketchy start, committing laybacks on granite slabs (no feet) then beginning 3rd route with a roof traverse crux again no feet, took me a few minutes to commit to the final moves although on good pro was a bit comforting, finished up the right side (not the easier left) and was worth the few moves to the topout.

led p1+p3, slipped off trying to bicep curl the roof crux at max reach. possibly easier if you don't fill the roof crack with cams

Onsight pitches 1 and 3, didnt climb P2 (tried a variant 5.10a +R out right). P1 and P3 are classic crack climbing pitches with a wide variety of moves on perfect rock. The moves through the roof are committing and tricky at the grade. A brilliant moderate trad lead for anyone new to the grade.

Lead all 3 pitches with my gorgeous wife.

Hard 5.8 crack at the start, but otherwise not too bad. One noticeable, committing 5.9 move on pitch 3 passing the roof to the right just above the belay.

Top is extremely loose.

A really awesome climb

Led P2, second P1 & P3. Captain Slow and Mr Molasses kept us from The Caverns and Selaginella. Next time!
