First time at The Pavilion. First pitch had some awesome flowy climbing. Second was a real adventure through some improbable terrain.

Reachy slab then sustained pumpiness on the second pitch.

Just did pitches 1 & 2b then rapped down Heat. The mandatory climbing on the big hollow flake is a bit unnerving on the first pitch, but otherwise pretty good climbing.

So good! Grippiest rock around.

Split the first into two pitches to share the lead. The most ridiculous hand crack on the first. Then a surprising amount of face-ish bridging on the second.

Two fun pitches in a differing style. More good slabbing, then interesting steep, exposed bridging on gear.

Great first pitch. Will come back for the second with a few more cams.

Really good climb! Probably the best climb around this grade I've done on The Pipes. Even the chimney up the top was over before it got too gross.

Just the first pitch then bailed off the ASG anchors as it started to rain and hail. Nice climbing.

First onsight at the grade. Ice-creams all round! The most surprised person was me when the crux move stuck. Brilliant end to a beautiful winters day.

Little tricky off the ground and coming out of the pod. Nice varied styles throughout.

Great fun the whole way. Awesome climb for the first day of summer. Lead first and third. First onsight at the grade.

First onsight at the grade. Brilliant bridging and jambing. Didn't have enough hex's, takes heaps.

Nice route. Hard start and balancy finish. Start is definitely harder than Penny Black, but the rest is potentially easier.

Good option. Probably a nicer way to finish this line. Be very suspicious of the big block to the right of the crack at about the third bolt. Vibrates and sounds hollow. Looks to be held in by mud. Hard to avoid though.

Really enjoyable. Felt so good to be back out and working the head and muscles again. Extra points for keeping the rope and feet mostly dry.

Similar quality to Golden Anniversary, but definitely a little trickier. Milk the jambs!

Great climb

Packs so much in for a short route. A real test of a variety of crack techniques. Happy to get this after a bit of a battle.

Short and tough

Bit easier than it looked. Made use of some flexible holds though.

Enjoyable moves the whole way, but as others commented, the difficulties are really confined to one sequence. Protection with small cam is ok if the flake stays attached.

Probably slightly easier than the one to the left.

Bit of a slip during the lower half managed to stay on though.

Definitely tested the head. Amazed the feet stuck at the top bolt.

Classic route. All three pitches stand on their own as top quality for their respective grades. Some of the best crack climbing I’ve encountered on The Pipes so far.

Some great moves. This wall was all pretty dirty today. Harder for shorter people.

Quality rock and routes all along here. Just held it together at the top.

Didn't have time to climb out the cliff today, so did this to get a sample of the remainder of the routes. Take care with some of the clips before you get higher.

Really nice route if you're tall and can reach between the good holds through the bulge. Otherwise maybe add a grade or two.

Pity about the ledges, but each section of this climb is awesome and provides varied challenges. The top section is especially good.

Awesome climb! Varied, sustained and probably spot on for the grade. That block though! Quite scary and I think should be treated with caution. Almost got my shoe stuck in a jamb.
