Sustained upper section

Superb position for the Grade - felt more like 18

Felt harder than Flake. Maybe I missed something.

Love the knee bar. Worth two stars just for that and the sheer enjoyment using it of taking a no hands rest on a boulder problem . However, I should have thought to brush the top out as it was covered in leaf debris so felt a bit precarious.

Just a smear for the left foot to start and a small edge for the right foot made the sit start move feel harder than V1

Takes in the crux of ‘Climb 10’ so should als be worth V3?

Did this one twice using different holds each time. Neither felt like just V1.

Steep, sustained and well bolted. A little dirty / dusty in places, probably due to run off from recent heavy rain. Avoid the cactus at the top(!) or you will realise where the climb gets its name.

Overgrown with lichen. Didn't look as if it had been climbed for a while. If you plan to climb this route, it would benefit from being cleaned with a stiff brush first. I rested on the rope to clean the holds.

Well positioned bolts makes this a pleasant climb. However, just one lower off.

Easy up and down

Excellent excursion. Rain while leading pitch 4 & 5 made for an interesting experience.

Blowing a gale made it feel all the more exposed. Excellent climb.

Superb line. Make sure you take plenty of quick-draws. I ran out and had to come down to remove some of the pro in the lower section before continuing.

Upper section of the arête felt hard for 19

Lovely technical climbing. Very hot in full sun today.

Backed off finish due to the covering of pine needles, moss and lichen on the finishing holds. Could be good if cleaned up.

Backed off due to a combination of broken glass from smashed beer bottles in crack and loose lichen covered blocks on upper section.
