Unexpected send for sure! Holds definitely felt better than when it was warmer last year. Decided to jump back on this when a mate was having a rest working on Testostrogen. Was very surprised when I actually linked all the moves and even held the swing the first time! Hand slipped and I was off, one easy move from the end. Buoyed by this, I rested for a good 15-20 minutes and went again. Held the swing again and this time got the finish holds. Am super stoked the knee felt strong again after an MCL blowout a couple of months ago!

Whoa. Probably the hardest fight on a boulder problem I've had so far. Hanging on to the final crimps by sheer will! So happy to have finally done it though!

Hanging on by the skin of my teeth on the send go. All the best laid beta for the end went out the window when the right heel slipped and had to improvise! Not the prettiest ascent, but I'll take it for now and do it better next time. Or maybe not...

Finally got back on to this after blowing my knee out on it a few months back. Thanks to Adrian and his funky toe hook beta, I didn't have to do the drop knee to the last hold anymore. Good to have this monkey off my back!

Literally the last effort for the day. Decided to just stick with the beta I worked out 2 weeks ago and just try hard!

Nice way to start a 6 day jaunt at the Grampians! Hopefully a sign of things to come. Felt easy this time with the old beta and having not come to this at the end of a trip!

Can finally say I did this thug of a problem! Love it when everything flows well and was a nice way to end the year!

My god! The middle section of this thing is so good! Hello, long term proj!

Wow, some realy cool moves at the start and the feet first moves into the meat of the problem are so cool! Definitely on my long-term project list!

Climbed this again. Must say, muscle memory is certainly a powerful thing!

Finally connected the dyno! Feels really comfortable when I got the fingers in the pocket just right.

Nice crimpy action!

Only very slightly more difficult compared to Rise of the Machine next to it. Beta is very dependent on individual body type and strengths.

It's been so long since I've done this. That first move is still nails!

Managed to figure out how to move from the second and third crimps to the mono today. Can't believe how satisfying that is!

First day on this thing. 3 moves done. Hard as nails! Definitely a good long term project!

Super fun problem. Definitely feeling much stronger on it after some serious off season training during the summer. Rodeo girl next to it has got to go down next!

Finally got the tricky match and linked it to the finishing crimp! Such a huge monkey off my back!

Surprise ascent for sure. Probably the easiest climb at this grade that I have attempted.

Super cool line that has a bit of everything! Awkward start, small crimps, pinches, jugs, scary sloper topout, heel hooks and strong core tension moves! Felt awesome sending on my second session on it!

Got back on this again. Can't even remember when I first did the thing. I must be improving as I remember this being nails hard when I first did it! All moves that required crazy slapping now go static!

Nice easy introduction to the grade. Awesome shoulder move at the start which goes into a couple of technical pulling to an easy topout.

Super awkward and BIG first move followed by some commiting slaps to finish up easy face. Felt very powerful!

Refined the old beta a little bit more to make the bottom bit more efficient. Definitely better, but still managed to ping off the cut-loose move at the end twice today! So frustrating! Going to see if a couple of weeks of 4X4s + intense core work will help when I get back out there in 2 weeks time.

First time on this. Managed to do the crux span move once. Just need to be fresh. Note to self. Really pull on the right heel to get the distance.

Weird that I've never tried this line out of the cave. Quite tricky!

Nice technical short face climbing. Probably deserves to be more popular.

Weird upside down fridge hugging thing. Feels a bit more thuggy than it looks!

Still a nice problem to scare yourself a bit at the top out. A bit sandy in places.

Found a sneaky little right hand crimp on the left-most edge of the final hueco. Jumped on the problem from midway and managed to link right up to the end. That little crimp really makes such a difference to holding the final swing! Didn't feel bad at all!

Another highpoint today and the bitch isn't giving up easy. Tore me a mega flapper!

Managed to link all the moves from the crux till end end match. Toe hooks to glory!

High point today! Still cold and fingers went numb again at the last V6 section but got further than last time on link. No particular moves felt difficult this time so I think it's just a matter of time now. 3 more moves and I would have had this!! Grrr!

With the right knee now well enough to execute the deep drop knee to do the RH cross which was giving me grief, I managed a rather flawless link from the start to the resting jug. When I started moving again into the V5 finish, my fingers were just numb from the cold and I couldn't hold on to the crimper onslaught! Might have rested for too long on a freezing hold !

Can now get the first move quite comfortably compared to last year's attempts! Got to now dial in the foot sequence to do the remaining 4 burly moves and start putting in links!

Can now comfortably do the final V5 section. Can also do the big RH cross through move with an intermediate hold when starting midway but tough when climbing into it from the link. All moves have gone and I think I have my beta 90% sorted. Should be putting link attempts from here on.

Managed to link the first and second section right up to the resting block and start of the final V5 section. Pretty boxed by then. Need to know what I'm doing in the final section before putting it all together. Felt pretty good for my second session on it!

More easy climbing on good slopers and jugs

Super psyched to have worked all the moves in a bit over an hour. Gutted that I fell when my slap to the glory jug fell about an inch short! Too gassed to do the link again after that... Dying to jump back on in a couple of weeks time and send the thing! Is this a V9 or a V10? Says V10 in the new Grampians Bouldering guide?
