Two burns and two falls from the mantle. Last of which I had both feet above the lip but my ankle locked up and i couldn't move. Next time I will get on it fresh.
Cruised to the lip on my final send burn, but combination of screaming fingers from left pocket and lack of confidence in the mantle meant leaving it for later.
Another super breezy nightsession, such a pleasure. Thankfully finally committed to the cutloose campus, then my knee locked on the final lockoff to the top and I just barely avoided a heinous drop by doing the good old pullup into stranded whale move. After that had a very terrifying downclimb that slab in the dark... epic. In my opinion very easy for the grade and more in the V6-V7 range but whatever.
In my opinion it would make more sense to standstart with the left hand on the arete rather than the pocket but I guess history > logic in this case. Had an epic nightsession here with my buddy Matt. Winds were really strong and blew the pads away. Managed to stick the pocket and get the lip, actually feels fairly easy until there. Finished up with a lovely hike back to Base Camp under an amazingly clear starry sky. I'll be back!
Next time gotta get on my butt and work that sit start...
