攀登 in North West as Tick 或 First ascent

Yeah really good climb. Small crimps around the 3rd and then backs off until the 7th near the end of the traverse left. A few more tough moves and then backs off for the finish. 2nd 24 for me so really enjoyed it when it was done.

Linking the first two pitches and soloing the last saves a bunch of time. Bring tri-cams if you've got them. It is quite run out in parts but it's not challenging climbing.

Great climb, really enjoyable. First pitch is a lovely corner with a dauntingly detached boulder to belay on. Second pitch has good pro, and is a classic finger layback for two or three moves before a well earned rest jug. Keep moving up into the chimney to belay on a ledge at the base of the right hand corner hand crack. Third pitch was a glorious line of hand / fist jamming with good pro and pretty intense exposure, ending on a huge ledge with a glorious view. would recommend linking the second and third pitches if you can fight off your second. Fourth pitch starts with a few spicy moves for the grade up a corner before easing off nicely.

Has its own 'jug of disappointment'.

Enjoyable climb to get back into the swing of things. started at 6:30 finished in the dark. P1-scrambled unroped P2- enjoyable if you stay in the chimney P3- jumped the step across, I'm never sure how high or low to go on the traverse P4-5 Linked the last two to try and beat the darkness.

Tough start and then reachy finish. I pulled on the draw.

Matt linked the first and second pitches by accident, but went off course and climbed straight rather than veering right - doing the first half of the second pitch of 'You can't stop the gobble'. Was a pretty good approach actually, with a couple of grade 16 moves through a short roof before moving up to the nose. The third pitch is pretty average, a down veering traverse onto rounded feet before an exposed long step into the bird-shit coated chimney. Quite a lot of loose rock to be careful of, and nothing really enjoyable about it. Would recommend doing the linked up direct line through the short roof as the first pitch of Kaiser - Resignation instead.

Exciting at times, a lovely opportunity to ogle watchtower crack.

Found the second pitch quite intimidating - some chimneying, a layback up a flake with poor protection, followed by a blind step round the arete to the ledge. Not sure if I just miss read the entire route.

Third pitch was a short but solid slab section, protection was ok though (small wires). Fourth pitch was quite straight forward and well protected, and the last pitch was a walk off.

Great climb! Very much my style coming from Nowra. 6 days of work over 2 weeks.

If it was further from the chimney, and with a few more bolts in it, it might be an ok route. As it is, even my little legs can bridge.

Missing half a move at the start - the seepage doesn't help at the moment. Rest of the route is substantially easier. Old piton is not looking reassuring and there's not much to back it up with.
