it rained, we waited for dry. then we climbed again and right before leaving watchtower crack on the traverse, the heavens opened again. big shouts to the rain for making my book look like its seen a lifetime of araps trips. led in two pitches under the visionary direction of Ethan. I got scared leading post second downpour and complained great about spooge nation. A bit of faff later, i dare say Ethan saw a bit less spooge. But thankful for his lack of spoogephobia and taking the sharp end. hot tip, most rain protected area in all of mount arapiles is pitch 2 of watchtower crack. perhaps even better than Aurora and Ash's luxurious marquee.

Hooly Dooly! Done in two pitches. Very exciting climbing up the corner, loved it! Bit of a rope drag nightmare by the top, but you get that on the big jobs. Got spoilt with all the money pitches today!!

Tye led the first 2 pitches of Watchtower Crack in a single long pitch. Which shortens P2 of Skink for me. I led P2 and P3 of Skink. On P3 I went a bit wayward (got lost) , did a few big moves over some overhangs to get to the rappel anchor (which is ~20m R of the intended top out). To future leaders of this pitch ... Stay left after the crux move!

Last climb of the trip. Amazing way to wrap up. Not as scary and committing as I thought, but then, I didn’t lead the money pitches. Airy, easy traverse on pitch 2 and sustained climbing pitch 3. Good pro. Loved the belay spot after pitch 2 - could get baked there though on a hot day. Will be back for the lead

luckily my rolled ankle healed up just in time to jump on this!! louis lead the money pitches, but i still experienced a heady dose of fear - this was my first hanging belay on gear, in quite an exposed setting. however, louis eased a bit of the tension by farting quite audibly
