easy good fun. Makes life a lot easier if you take a rope to rap down rather than down climb if your planning on not going to the top.

34 degree temperature didn't help. Mosquitoes threatened to carry us away. Grant NOT IMPRESSED with the "souvenir" he stood in, right in the middle of the track near the summit. Yeah, Grant... unfortunately it does happen... grubs. My gratitude and appreciation to whoever installed the series of rapping anchors. They are easily accessed and excellently placed to facilitate a fast and safe descent. Overall, a big but very enjoyable day out.

less interesting, or exposed, than i expected it to be. nice start up the blocks though. And if you're lost for pro on the 2nd pitch, look higher

Couldn't find the pro on any of the routes! It's just another ascent of the mountain with rap stations. Good adventure though.

Roped up for the more exposed pitches but there is only sparse, average protection anyway. The chimney pitch was good with a couple of grade 15 moves just to the right of the chimney to get started then easy to the top. Descent via tourist route.

Anyone climbing this variant should note that pitch 7 (the alternative to the original route via the chimney) is extremely runout; I only managed to place 2-3 pieces of tenuous gear the entire 55m before the DBB.

Taking Dave up and with Lu as support team. Leading/soloing on doubles and bringing them up on top belay. Fantastic day out - one to remember. Did the direct line out of cave 5 and finished up the chimney. Hiked down the tourist track.

An all-time South East QLD hike. Not entirely sure about the 4, as one section in particular has an interesting sequence, but it's fantastic to get your head in the game for exposure. The tree into the chimney was down when we were there, so we both scrambled up the middle traverse, and rigged some trad to link a climb further on the left.

Great way to do the summit. Way more fun than the normal summit route. Bring lots water if doing it in summer, got badly dehydrated near the top ha ha.
