Ascents of Sex Haunt

The roof is definitely not as difficult as it appears from directly underneath. But, it is exposed and you don't want to fall getting to the clip. All the holds are there for you and the view is sensational.

The Sex Haunt saga has come to an end. I finally balls'd up and led the second pitch & it went first go. Hesitated trying to clip the first bolt after the roof but managed to to push through. To top it off it was an unreal afternoon with beautiful views off the sunset.

Sent the first pitch clean on top rope. Now just got to balls up and lead 1st and 2nd pitch in 1 hit.

First time climbing the route to the top in 1 big push. Wasn't able to do the move to get over the roof so pulled on the rope to get past this section. Definitely lacking endurance, however I am another step closer to a successful send.

Led the first pitch after a couple whips. Felt quite nice apart from the move to 3rd bolt. Wasn't feeling game enough to attempt the roof section on 2nd pitch, but will definitely be back for another go

Tried to redpoint as one pitch. Was too pumped going over roof, went with better beta. Very nice climb.

Done as a single pitch. Lovely flow! Nice headgame moves at roof.

Really nice long route for Mt Keira. Did it in one pitch. 60m rope is fine. Topping out is a good option to save your rope.

Lower crux was fun and committing due to the bolting. Upper crux pulling over the roof was pretty cool too.

Not sure I'd call it a test piece aside from the exposure.

Rapped to clean because of the upper anchors. Needed a fireman's belay to get all my gear because of the roof though.

Brilliant climb, really windy as usual, just hesitated to long before commiting to the roof.

The Keira test piece, an intimidating climb for those unaccustomed to height and exposure, which this climb boasts of no equal on Keira. I feel a little bit harder than 21, especially if you do it in one pitch. Just need a partner to red point it now...

Finally ticked! In 40k/hr winds too!

Head game at 3rd bolt crux, couldn't commit! Worked through pump to finish. 60m rope lower had ~2m spare.

Great climb, thought provoking crux. Questionable bolting.

Definitely need to climb this clean, had 3 or 4 rests but climbed every move, just need to link it all up

Would really like an extra two bolts to feel safe! It’s a test piece climb for grade 21 in my opinion.

Up to the first crux, downclimb to standing, bridge to get height to get over it, great face to going over the lip, put the draw up and downclimbed to rest in natural corner to the right of block, wished i had a cam to go around the arete and sit there for a bit... haha, does that count? anyhow, pulled back on, went over the lip, and still some rewarding moves above done in one pitch.

Technical, scary start then to easy face but you're pumped. 3rd bolt is crux. Only went to 20m LO's
