Ascents of Swell

Felt quite a bit easier than Bête Noir, but still quite good.

Bolt to bolt and was able to do all the moves.

Taking down the gear in the rain.

Tore open two fingers on the left hand in one of the crux pockets, in the rain

Putting up the gear in the rain.

Climb up to the 4th bolt, then too tired to go up. Very pumpy climb.

Power endurance pump fest. Not really my cup of tea at the moment... Bailed at the 4th bolt.

Had a go myself but couldn't grit my teeth through the last couple of sharp pockets before the clipping stance at the 4th bolt. So I just went to the top by the most efficient means to clean it off. Too tired and no skin.

Put the gear up for Alex with a bit of aiding, and ticked the holds for Alex's send.

#2ndgo - a style that WOULD definitely be onsightable for me now IF I COULD FIND MY TRYHARD. Grrr. Anyway, went easily with Alexei's help (all the ticks & talking it through ♡).

Cruisey but fun start leads to nice rest at 2nd bolt to prep for boulder. From juggy arête pull back onto face onto good pockets and work the feet up - basically just keep pulling to get out of the overhang!

Think I ran 6 laps of this one for filming today 😂
