Ascents as Clean as top rope by David Gibbs

same, TR before bolting. Pretty consistent at 5.4, and everyone loves having a 5.4 sport route around, right?

Thinking of throwing some bolts in here, wanted to TR it again to see what I thought.

Looked like fun, so I hiked up to drop a TR off the big tree at the top. It ended up going easier than I expected looking at it.

With cleaning, there is a crack in the left face that might take gear; so could end up being an easy trad route.

Granite slab.

Not sure if it is leadable... not a lot of gear lower down. Will have to look again higher up... but might be slinging trees for a couple of the protection points.

After a couple false-starts on the opening thin moves, I managed to get them. Then the rest went clean first try.

Setup a top-rope after leading Kiddie-Corned, with a redirect at the 2nd overhang to keep the rope out of the crack. Some interesting slab work.

A fun, short, climb.

Maybe I'm a sick man, but I kind of like the grunting, awkward, make-progress-by-inches climbing that off-widths entail. My friends definitely think I'm sick.

But, if you have this sickness, then this is a fun climb. Otherwise, maybe you're best avoiding it.

Lots of wonderful lay-back action on this one. Definitely polished, especially at the start, but still very climbable.

First experience on the very-slick sandstone of Harrison's Rocks. It was an eye opener, feeling quite a bit harder than a 5.0.

Fun TR. Apparently often wet, but we found it dry.

A fun top-rope, though some of the flakes felt... fragile.

Took two tries to get the beta right, but once I had it, it went very smoothly on the 2nd run up it.

Some fun moves in the dihedral.

Climbed it with my pack on, as our way out from this local bit of cliff.

And Bertrand lowered another clump of trees rightward for the re-direct, cause he spotted a good line, with some closer to vertical climbing. It had some nice vertical stuff on it.

Looked like a nicer face from the first climb... lowered rightwards, then climbed it. Some quite good climbing.

First climb of the day, where we rappelled in. Nothing super-special, though it has a few nice moves here and there.

Some work with an off-width type feel to it going through the cleavage, but otherwise easy pleasant climbing.

Fun but easy, even when damp.

A bit wet and dirty. More tiring than expected cause many of the holds are slopers -- hard to rest.

Blocky, but very slopy.
