The start would be very rude if 16/17 was your limit! Hard to grade as it’s all over once you stand up.

Contrived, hence average but good climbing. Did my best to stay direct which involved minging a crimp off the ground and ignoring the jugs 30cm to the right…

Honestly just climb the most logical line and enjoy!

One bomber hand jam, one bomber fist jam and then off-width goodness! I definitely still thrutched.

Definitely needed the beta for this flash, would’ve been very tricky with zero chalk on this route!

Draws were on and I had never climbed it, so figured it would be a good warm up? Not that easy, would have to disagree with 20!

Top rope, shortage of lead belays today It was free and available to climb 🤷‍♂️

Managed to put the first bolt plate on with the stick clip for a laugh, up and down lead in boots

Start was not THAT juggy, or maybe we missed them, can’t read this schist.

Not too bad pulling the lip and the head wall was super enjoyable!

Tried once in 2014 and couldn’t hold the holds on that terribly wet day. I did downclimb it to preserve the flash, and I’m glad I managed to 9.5 years later!

It was a bit anticlimactic, was expecting to dyno off terrible holds, but I managed to lock off (the holds were way better than I remembered) and it went very easily.

Size 3-5 cams and maybe wires should do you for this, really pleasant!

Start was fine, just a bit reachy, but I found that to be a consistent theme throughout the climb. My reach being JUST enough!

Following Jack end of day; the start was nails for 17 !! (in the dark with a head torch)

There’s a nut stuck in one of the cracks, spent some time trying to get it out but that ain’t going anywhere. (How did you even get that in there mate?)

Jack had a monstrous run out from that nut (just after the second last bolt) to the last bolt where he decided not to place any of his double rack of cams. Dumbass. 😂

The arete at the top was bloody marvellous, didn’t expect to be pulling those kind of moves on a 17, so damn awesome.

Very keen to try the original during the day and compare.

A surprising flash, must be my style! Aka crimpy, short and sweet crux.

Wish I could claim the onsight but draws were up from another party. Quite straight forward and footers were all where I needed them.

Anyway, a nice addition (rebolt) to this wall for warmups, the top isn't really too bad...

Back on rock after a 6 month hiatus and surprised myself by flashing this! I was absolutely peaking at the top and pumped out of my mind; but I thoroughly enjoyed the different styles and sequences throughout this!

F-f-f-freezing. Really quality 18 though; was quite pumped at the top but it may have been the cold?

Golly gosh! Ground falls are all possible while getting to the first; clipping the second and clipping the third. Also nearly got sandbagged with wrong hand beta by Harry.

NOTE: So other people don't make the same mistake as me; the route on the left end of Grey Slab with RINGS is 'The Answer is Obvious' and this route is the one with 5 hard to spot carrots; and lays between 'The Answer is Obvious' and 'The Bandoline Grip'.

Thin for a few moves, surrounded by pleasant climbing

Does feel squeezed in and contrived; has a (not-so) great lay down rest!

Steeper than the others, but with bigger holds. Was fairly pumped!

This was good but probably more 22 than 21! Has a few nice moves.

Should clean up nicely with more ascents!

Read the crux wrong, but managed to climb out of it and finish it off! Quite happy to flash this!

I'd give it 24 if you're short; for sure. It was a HELL of a move.

Had to crank on that crimp (in todays humidity) for a solid 5 seconds while adjusting my feet on the shelf; ouch.

Can see how height would make a difference (Lewis just skipped the crimp and went to the jug from the undercling)

Utilised all the no hand rests, gotta work on my endurance...
