I rapped over this line to clean this. Mostly jugging with primo gear except for this 10m section rock that is mind-blowing! A 5m section of 4-inch thick Ironstone that has been pushed from horizontal to vertical in layering. So you jam up this Ironstone crack to a riveting finger lock crux. onto the next pitch of awesome.

I got all the moves free while following Paul's vision of an ultra-exposed head-point. I am proud to have done just that. The lower lower floor is the place for groundbreaking adventures | 70m | ★★ Very Good | |||
This route was our team's most stylish ascent of the first 6th months of 2023. It conveys pure adventure so close to home.

Another scenario where Frothy suggests an obscure non repeated route, and I pay it off, then a month later he suggests it again I'm half interested. Then the 3rd time I take the bait. aha
Fun day out with Paul and Jared. my gri gri decided to stop locking for 200m abseil in..... P1 was a bit choss than a 10m long traverse over a precarious washing machine-sized boulder. P2 had some great climbing but was heady on 2nd for sure. P3 Don't fuck up getting to the first bolt P4 short but good movements, the cam at the crux blocks where your hand wants to go. P5 Black moss & choss with 10m runouts P6 Black moss & choss with 10m runouts to a vertical garden boulder crux. Bolts: Vintage rusty bash-in carrots placed at an angle to instil confidence that the rust will hold you Psych: high except for Jared who was not a fan of the jumaring options. Rock quality: ehh My first Katoomba cliffs route. |

Moss then Choss is the best way to describe this adventure. we used double 60ms and a double rack to 0.75 with triples of #1 #2 #3 with x1 #4.
The first 3 pitches were your standard dirty cracks which were wet for us The grade 20 Pitch is not one where you want to blow the crux and you will more than likely deck. (select the tallest member of your party for this pitch so they can throw in a nut to protect the crux. The turtle beach pitch was seaside getaway I was hoping for! which lead to Plastic Beach (belay of P6). Where Ange backed off the last pitch and I didn't want to have a go due to the terrifying nature of the pitch. So we got Stubbsy and Sean to drop us a rope. As I recovered our gear from the pitch this morning I am incredibly happy with our choice. |

Raging waters on the tote today supper awesome climbing.
Regarding the missing hanger I have added a bolt plate and a tightened nut. This is a temporary fix If the next people on the tote bring a 10mm hanger and nut to swap it out that would be great! |

P1 The crack system climbs really well with a fun little crux plenty of feet.
P2 a bit traversy from the belay but the step arete moves (protected by a bolt) make up for this.
P3 Is contrived fun, If you exit to the left facing the valley.

A big day up Australia's newest big wall route.
Left the car at 5:23am from Perry's Lookdown and within 20 minutes of walking I rolled my ankle badly however we maintained a cracking pace to the O Tree and started climbing by 8am. First 9 pitches climbed nicely and we were able link most pitches with our 67m rope. passing the 11 o'clock pitch (P9) at 10:50am Our pace then slowed on the next 5 pitches with a lil bit of excitement on the Pebble Pitch. Finial 5 pitches I was feeling a bit worn down but we thrutched through them. (scary moment on P18 well above a bolt and a hold snapped on me ) Topped out and climbed pitch 20 on the way back to the car. Outstanding views from P16 up Car to car 14hrs and some change. Thanks Will Vidler for putting up with my sub-par banter! Cheer for all the effort of putting this line up! Alec's first multipitch!
Pitch 1: and 2 are your standard mountains horizontal face trad. Onsite.
Pitch 3: I guess after the rain this week there was 5 key holds on the Crux of this pitch that were wet. Still climbable you just have to do a harder sequence. The crux is superfun on this pitch!
Fell off on the onsite. Fell off second shot due to the dampness Lowered to the base of the crux and went to the top so overlaping 1 sit.
Pitch 4: Another wet hold 😞 Second shot placing This was a rad corner pitch!
This route is still climbable even if the holds are damp!
Stoked to get the 24 pitch done on my 6th pitch of the day 🙌
