Pretty sustained. Very well protected.

Really good climb, cool slabby moves with tiny edges. First bolt runout but safe. You need a .3/.4 cam and a very long runner to place protection under the overlap, but i didn't bother.

Technical. Easier than an 18.

Fun

Short, but surprisingly enjoyable.

Really nice climb. Not as hard as the other 17s at Eaglestone Rock. Good pro at the bottom.

Technical. Probably the easiest and simplest way to the top of the main boulder.

Surprisingly good, thoughtful moves all the way to the anchors.

I don't think I was on route as there was no 17 moves. I think staying further right would have helped. Also loose rocks just below the anchors.

Nice climb, well protected. Some large loose rocks just before the belay. Crux felt like the first move.

Very atmospheric, great views and awesome cave. Climbing is easy (crux 13/14? and run outs are no problem because of the easy moves. Mikes first multi-pitch! Scramble descent is much easier than rappelling. We went left (east).

We were back in Mount Barker for lunch. I should have ordered their chicken box but the lady asked me what I wanted before I had a chance to think properly and so I ordered their biggest burger because it was the first thing I saw on the billboard. Disappointing.

Easy, probably 14, not worth two stars in my opinion. Protection is a little marginal for the 10m or so, small gear helps.

Good protection. Crux is the roof traverse early on with some fun little moves. The second pitch is pretty open ended.

Clearly not a 10. Great bouldery start. Crux is the traverse (Grade 13 maybe?). Had severe issues with rope drag because of the start up the detatched block, the traverse, I fucked up the extensions and then we belayed a long way back from the edge. Maybe easier to do in two pitches? Might be due to difference in weight of lead and second.

I think I started up Punkin and Hoonin by accident and traversed back on route. I guess Anthrax Ripple and Dairy Milk Dive are very close.

Beautiful rock. Great gear. Gentle moves. What's not to like. Maybe a little harder than 12.

Start of first pitch was run-out. Small cams helped. Some nice easy moves in the chimney at the start, after that a bit dull.

Nice easy climbing. Well protected. Watch out for loose rock.

Easy climbing and hood protection. A little slimy near the bottom. Perfect begineer climb.

I went off route (left around the roof) which caused too much rope drag and an awkward impromptu belay just above the roof to the right. Second pitch is mostly scrambling.

Don't bother.

Lead up to clean gear off sinuosity.

Hard 8.

Suprisingly enjoyable. Probably not worth bringing out the trad rack for though.

Nice sustained route. Easy slabby moves with generous protection. I only used a size 0.2 cam at the start of the second pitch (rather than the #1 &#2 recommended by the mini-guide.

First pitch is actually pretty good with good pro (though I threw down a couple of loose rocks). You can protect the traverse crux by reaching over and setting a #2 camalot. The other pitches were very chilled out but a good intro to multi-pitch trad. Scariest part was setting up the anchor at the top of the scramble traverse.

Seemed like not much holds or protection on the face. I ended up hugging the arette all the way up. Didn’t feel like a 16 but maybe it was harder if you stayed on the left.

Really good fun and well protected. The first bolt could probably be stick clipped from the belay, but I used a cam to protected the first move up to the bolt and then removed the cam to reduce rope drag. Come back down via the gully to the left of the climb.

Great climb. I had a bit of a panic attack before I realised you are supposed traverse left at the top.

Actually pretty cool, only wet at the bottom. Overhanging towards the top, but good holds and decent pro.

Meh, I should have gone right at the flake for brother hood, but I didn;t have a big cam to go behind it.

Watch the pro for your second as you traverse around onto the other face. First bit is really nice.

Unprotected crux before the first placement at 5m. I would have Bouldered up to the left and set some gear to protect the start.

6 laps, clean roped solo on laps 4 & 5. Super powerful climb. Really great fun. Don't know if I'll ever have the endurance to lead it though.

Great climb, well protected. Did it before as a second. Slab at the top is a little run out over bomber gear.

Best beginner lead at WCH. Good protection, easy and the crux moves are protected by bolts.
