Equestrian

First pitch only, run out face climbing, average gear, average climbing, consistent moves for the grade some felt like 18, second pitch looked better. Used small cams to #0.5 and small wires. Cryptic at times becoming south westerly towards the afternoon with gusts of 30knts

Finally got on this, exciting and unlikely climbing, exposed and exilerating traversing 30m above crashing sea on overhanging jugs, nearly slipped off once on salty jug. Didn't use any gear over 0.75 cam and finger sized wires, rope drag was good with plenty of long runners, double ropes not necessary. Gear adequate but more would have given confidence. Best 17 around hands down

Some rattley holds and loose rock on all pitches but generally good with good gear. P1 is average and basically an access pitch to P2 with a traverse on suspect detached flake. P2 is as good as it gets for the grade, engaging moves up thin cracks in an exhilarating position bridging, lay backing, smearing, crimping and finger jamming then moving around arête on face holds. P3 is a chimney grovelling access pitch to rap station. Careful not to miss second rap station to left. Fair for the grade

Did first pitch as 55m, placed 14 pieces of gear, first time on Mt Gumboot - loving it longtime

First pitch was ok, some cross further up not a total choss festival. Not a bad intro to ben Lomond face climbing I guess...

Felt a little harder than 17 maybe I'm soft

Great moves for the grade up over roof really recommend this one

Dispite the rope drag it's hard to argue with the scenery and quality of this low grade route. Gear is adaquate enough to keep you from attaining vegetable status, don't leave home without lots of long runners and cow bells for that unmistakable Swiss alps sound

One of the best I've done in the gorge, nice bit of length! Rap in from DBB downstream an lower from top of climb. Reccomended climb although a little dirty

Excellent thin start is star worthy

DBB at top, a bit tricky to find but worth it, flake to hand crack

P1 only due to light but P2 looked pretty good also. Surely one of the best 17s in the gorge

Insecure start

First trad 20 didn't feel like a 20 but I'll take it for all those grade 15 sandbags out there

Short textbook hand jam more like 17. Good while it lasts

Enjoyed exposed traversing on P2&3 but took a long time to do full climb due to traversing nature needing 5 pitches. Not worth 3 stars imo

Great moves to start took a while to work out felt harder than 14 then up chimney crack to rap anchor

Plenty of good pro loads of rests and steep committing crux at top but well protectable as to be expected with araps awesomeness

Pretty serious for a grade 11. First crux a but run out onto slab, absorbing long climb recommend but only if very solid around grade

Hard to envisage better climbing at the grade especially second pitch
