Ascents climbed between 2010-01-01 and 2010-12-31 as various tick types by Andrew Clark

Good to get my head back in after 3 months of not climbing.

Phil led this with a preplaced, extended first draw. In hindsight this really wasn't necessary, the climbing at up to the first bolt is quite easy after the first two or three metres.

Phil did well on this. The anchor is a long, long way from the top bolt over a large amount of lichen. Very exciting.

If this is the route up over the big scar up high, there's a lot of holds you'd have to ignore to make this a 17. Maybe if you're shorter it's more difficult?

Good to get back on the sharp end after 3 months away from it. Nice little slabby climb.

I'm quite happy I got on and up this. I found this a serious, intimidating lead which worked my mental control pretty hard. The gear down low is fairly marginal. Each time I got to one of the chopped bolts I thought "Gee, that would've been nice".

Felt much nicer the second time around. Should've taken a couple of c3s with me too though, the .3 c4 didn't quite fit the placement very well...

Bryn led this. That sentry box is wicked. Bunched up in there listening to your heartbeat echo off the walls must make for a very atmospheric lead.

Really happy with this lead. Required a bit of thought under pressure and I managed to pull of a mantle at one stage without peeling off which was nice.

Placed gear and all. Will have to get on the sharp end.

I found this quite difficult. Possibly should have warmed up on something else first?

Scott led this one. Couldn't convince me that it was a good idea. Was enjoyable but not something I'd recommend to most people.

Really happy with this. The move around the corner felt very blind but the gear is great. The finish is also very exciting.

Good route. Gear is a little spaced in places.

Could've placed more pro than I did. Another piece in the corner would've been nice and maybe something out right once I was standing in the horizontal (see pic in guide). As it was I was a long way above a #3 in the top of the corner before I got more gear.

I led p1, Scott led p2. Had a bit of a moment halfway up the pitch after stepping in some scat and my foot slipping on the next move...

Another super special Sol variant... quite a bit harder than 14...

Led p3, 5 and 7, Sol led 1&2, 4 and 6. Didn't enjoy Sol's magical moss variant of pitch 4.

Great route. Good gear, nice moves... Yoyo ascent after falling at the first piece of gear...

Sol led this in the rain. Got pretty exciting towards the top where it slabs out more.

Retro flash. Not much too this.

The gear on this was a lot thinner than I'd like to climb above.
