Fell on the crux moves at the bottom. Started again and got it clean. Really fun route.

Had led this a few years ago. Protects well - a good beginning leader's route.

Had seconded this route years ago. Well-named: balancey and fun.

A bit of a sandbag. The name is misleading - I chose this for my friend's first ever rock climb having never climbed it myself: a good initiation to old-school "easy" JT routes! We descended in semi-darkness via the chimney near Bussonier.

A really nice thin finger crack. A bit pumpy towards the top.

Quite fun with a couple of awkward moves.

Had wanted to lead this since seconding it years ago. Fun, well protected and a great little summit.

Didn't take a big cam so had to run it out a bit on P2 but fun, secure climbing and a nice sunset.

Apparently we both did the lower chimney/offwidth section facing the wrong way which made it much harder. I had to pull on a sling to get through this section. The rest of pitch 1 and the slabby pitch 2 were good.

Led this and belayed both my kids (10 & 7) up to the spacious ledge. Short and easy but fun.

Hard to believe its a 16 when you look at it from the ground: a truly memorable climb!

Team onsight - swung leads with Geoff. The traverse is the highlight: exposed and well protected.

I led the first pitch (crux). Geoff led the second.

Team onsight. I led pitches 1 & 2 (to the cave) and Geoff led the crux 3rd pitch (the newer guide book shows the 'old' 3rd pitch as two pitches).

I led pitch 1, Geoff led the spectacular pitch 2. The position on the step-across move is awesome! An absolute classic for the grade.

Geoff led in one pitch. A nice climb. The two overhangs aren't as bad as they look.

Great climb with lots of variety in its 4 pitches. We swung leads with my partner Geoff doing pitches 1 & 3 and me doing pitches 2 & 4.

No cams required except for the belay - this climb is a great practice for slotting nuts!

Short but fun.

Only did first pitch. A great climb with some nice jamming and good rest opportunities.

Lots of loose flakes & knobs. A fun little climb but I was glad I wasn't leading it.

Seconded 1st and 3rd pitch and led (onsight) a variation of the 2nd pitch which followed the left crack above the 1st belay instead of the right.

Certainly doesn't feel like a 5.9 - in fact it's only a 5.8 in the two guide books I've seen.

A fun route with lots of variety and a bit of exposure.
