Ascents by Devin

Very fun little route. Used it as a cooldown after 6 long climbs at the disciple wall. Last route of the day, and it was a high note. Onsighted the little gem.

Second ascent of this route and sixth long climb on this day. Top roped to build some stamina on the sustained arm pump through the mid wall. Had to rest a lot and clean draws on the way up this top rope.

Fith climb of the day and a Great one at that. One tricky move mid way up the climb. Tricky because it is tough to see the sequence. Have to move to the right below the ledge and then get into a right-leaner side grip to move up the face without reaching over to the sarel seemonsters line. Grips are a bit thin, but quite manageable, sustained tension makes it a good ascent. Clipped into the top anchor while descending Brollocks to set up this top rope. Had to take quite a few times as this was my 5th long climb of the day and the pump was real.

Looking forward to smashing it next time.

Fourth and most Epic climb of the day! Long climb that tests the stamina. Awesome exposure on the flat face on the middle of this wall. Topped with an awesome view. Pulled rope through to lead with draws still in place. Had to take 2 or 3 times to alleviate forearm pump.

Third climb of our day out. Care must be taken to keep just left of the obvious Gulley that runs just to the right of the climb. The Gulley makes the route too easy. The flat surface to the left of it has some fun moves. Pulled rope through to lead with draws still in place

Second time doing this time but my first time leading it. I must admit that climbing with the rope out of site really does tighten up your movements. Climb didn't feel quite as easy as I remembered it being.

First time leading a climb. Epic experience

Awesome climb. Was helping Benj up the climb (young climbing prodigy). It was so much fun scaling the rock with this little champion on my shoulders at various points along the route. I definitely put tension on the rope while boosting him up to a few holds but never felt that I wasn't fully supporting myself or carrying myself on the rock.

Fourth and last climb of the day. A tough one (by my standards) to end my first ever sport climbing experience. The bug has bitten

First ever sport climb. Such a treat!

First ever outdoor climbing experience and of course my first ever trad experience. Smashed my headlamp at the start of the climb so I climbed this guy mostly in the dark. Was really an epic experience. This climb hit me like an infectious disease. Immediately started buying my own kit after this climb.
