Ascents by Caroline Chang having Sport CPR

My first 24 onsight! Was a bit desperate and had to fight to get on 😂 Fun, sustained and pumpy with some good holds and crimps. Can probs drop it twice on this climb once in the middle-ish and at the top. Probs a softer 24.

Soft tick. Lovely long face climb. Bouldery start. Slightly steep finish. Probs harder if you don’t have endurance but good rests/holds. Slightly weird clipping.

My first 25! Almost got the flash but went for an intermediate after the mono second go. Techy climb with delightful crimps. Some say it’s soft but I'm taking this one home.

First 23 flash ⚡️ Good rests with some slightly big-ish moves if you’re shorter.

My first 24!! Going on the warm up and almost flashed this!! Pumped off the horn going for the anchors 🤯 Defo feels a grade harder than split wave.

As we were coming out a dude asked what we were on. Josh said I’d just done my first 24. Dude said “oh yeah that’s soft”. Was gonna put him in a headlock but Josh had to hold me back… 🍦

Stoked with this onsight! One of my goals ticked for the trip. Solid for the grade. Pumpy at the top. Slightly more techy than Daffy. Can definitely drop it in a few places. Mega fun.

Wtf this was hard. Great rock but I am at full stretch for all the moves and feet are pretty thin. Kinda arapiles esque rock. Defo easier if you’re taller but no excuses. It felt hard and powerful but not impossible so maybe one day

Great technical face climbing. Few fun and engaging little cruxes along the way with a reachy move before anchors.

Trying the moves on toppy for shits and gigs and had loads of fun. Pulled through the extra long move to the pocket ant the start. Some very cool sequences to the top.

Float climbing with some bigging moves here and there but all good holds. I found the start of this mantle easier than the 20.

2nd shot. Technical, crimpy cruxy traverse with a big move after face. Awesome climb.

Cool techy climb with variation of holds and movement. One round to put draws on. Down second go. 3 stars I reckon.

Big powerful moves required all the way for me on this. The start requires the biggest deadpoint I’ve ever done to the left and the climbing starts after that. This is 100% not soft if you’re short and I’m taking the full grade for this one.

Stoked to tick this after thrashing myself on the one shut down move last time (Deadpoint to left hand crimp for the shorties) Went down cruisey today. Day Flash.

Such a sick line 🔥 First lap to warm up. Second lap for the send. Hardest 23 I’ve done to date and probs the best. Unexpectedly punched straight for the jug on bottom crux without knee bar on the send.

Damn that was a fun crimpy crux. Can see how a lot of ppl get lost up there. One lap to work the beta. Second lap for the send. Well done to Josh Ellis for the tricky onsight 👏

A harder 23 imo. Good pumpy and sustained climbing. Start is on pretty quickly followed by a cool little sequence for the crux. Top requires more tekkers and staying calm. It would be nice if the holds were better for clipping the anchors.

First go to refine beta. Almost sent second go after cruising the crux but fucking rushed it at the top. Went third go just before the rain came ☔️

One lap for the beta second lap for the send. Was so nervous but felt cruisey when I went up! Stoked to tick this one!

Jumped on this back in April and felt hard. Had to batman start, I don’t think you could do this being 5ft2 unless you have rockets under your feet. Bit of mincin on some crimps and it’s done.

One extra lap after the send for fun.

Delightful long engaging face climbing with a couple of big moves.

Just wanted to jump on to have a feel. 2 cruxes. First one could do with more training. Second requires a dyno for the vertically disadvantaged. Rest is lovely lovely.

Fun varied climbing with a chimney crux. A bit on and awkward for a second there.

Active rest day pitch. Bit of a steep crux for 2 draws at the top.

Proved the early onset dementia wrong and remembered my beta this time. It did require a go on TR first to dial in and then gave it a hot crack second go on lead.

Mantles are my anti and got a bit pumped at the start but had a good rest just after. The rest was nice climbing.

Head game gradually feeling better on the second warm up. But still feeling like I need to squeeze harder on some big jugs or something…

Crux is probs a hard 6c+ ? Had to do some funky hip beta to get me up.

Lovely climbing with one longish move.

Stoked to get this flash in after brushing out the head game Wobblies. Feeling good and confident on the wall again and most importantly had fun Lovely face climbing and crimpers. Could do the finish a couple ways I reckon.

Awesome beautiful face climbing with one crux for shorter people. Otherwise all very delightful movement. Almost lost the flash and red herringed twice before retreating back to the cave to shake out the pump to finish. Thanks for the support Chris Martinez gsmizz and janelle Hing

NYE flash just before midnight ⭐️ Funky fun climbing in the dark. Head torch almost fell off at the traverse at top. Way more fun and moves than To Bobby. Skipped last draw to go straight to anchor.

I’d give this 3 stars and hard for the grade if putting draws on for crux. Felt fkn desperate campusing with a weird heel hook to get draw on 😂

Rest of climb is sustained, pumpy and fun.

One defining crux that requires specific body positioning - finished with some easy arete exposure.

After a nervous start glad to get this flash in.

First climb outdoors after taking 2 weeks off to rest the shoulder and feeling pretty good! My second 21 outdoors first go.

Warm up. Going over rooflet would be the grade but veering right over roof is the goer for the soft bitches of the day. I.e. moi….

This one went after putting draws on to rework the crux at top and went second burn. Love this climb.

Second climb of the day. Couldn’t clip second last draw so skipped it on lead. Lovely climbing.

Desperate start. Jug ladder afterwards with a bit of pump.

Looked fun so jumped on. Straightforward climbing up to rooflet that requires some thinking before going over.

Interesting jumping back on after the first time 6 months ago. Got so pumped and felt like I had no clue what I was doing back then but today felt cruisey on the send. Fresh new bolts too, good work to Josh Ellis rebolting this and Matt Brooks crew yesterday. Redex next.

Dirty at bottom. Elegant at the top.

Tried this back in nov and thought this would take a few whirls but this one went first climb of the day!
