Ascents by Tim Clarkson having Trad CPR

Lovely thought provoking climbing. Some thin holds but with good feet top help out.

We accidentally linked most of this into some of Pretty Boy Floyd. Either way, some very reachy carrots, having to pull on crimps with tiny feet to clip or unclip carrots.. just be aware. If you're 6ft2 you'll be fine. Good if occasionally burly climbing, burly mainly clipping bolts. Think I got it clean after falling at the start...

Hard non-19 start move, then bloody great. Spaced bolts but safe falls. Nicer on the rope to rap off, but not too bad.

Bouldery start but only first 3 moves... then very 17ish and lovely. We only had a #4 cam and that was manageable if slightly heady without more gear. Great climbing. Fun and a good warmup. Stickclip and batman past first metre of climbing if you want 17 warmup.

Found more gear placements this time and Sean found an extra one... not so runout at the bottom now but still a long way between up high... though there's a break for a 4/5 cam up top.

Amazing climbing, feels like superhero climbing for the grade up the arete over space. Took a couple of goes to get the start on top rope, but later watched others do it much more gracefully... if unsure, you can always traverse in from the ledge, get 1st cam in, then start again

I was one move away from getting this clean on second and sooo not my wheelhouse. Amazing amazing fist/hand jams and pasting feet. What an unruly epic gorgeous amazing climb that kicked my butt.

Fantastic climbing and moves. Good protection available where you need it, 1st few moves getting established a bit bouldery - worth protecting the belay but then just great!

Really fantastic climbing, hand crack with footers and regular jugs on the sides - very manageable and beautiful movement.

The "scramble" up can take some gear to make it safe and manageable. "Large" cam up high is a number 6. If not, you can run it out 8m on grade 15 jugs. Great climbing, one punchy move off a ledge that spat me off half way (well protected).

Too tired end of day. Burly for 23, with an exciting runout on crimps. Good one that I need to come back to.

Runout over slab with seemingly only 1 good gear location up high? Decent if quite bouldery climbing but the runouts seem dumb and dangerous to me...

Great climb. 1st couple of bolts did my head in a bit but quality stuff. 1 rest. Thanks to Tom for leaving the gear in.

My first mixed lead!! Awesome. Only rudimentary off-width technique required, but if you're cool with those moves it'll save some effort. Can be done without any gear, but a stopper or cam in the 1st few meters is good, and a range of cams or hexes can reduce runouts at various points. Didn't have any big gear and it was heady but ok. Shiny ringbolts niiiiiice. Really worth doing.

Great climb just found it a little strenuous close to the ground for ye olde warmup

Beautiful climb. Pitch 1 plenty of pro when you need it, very easy climbing between. Pitch 2 I totaly missed the bolt on right side of arete, just a sling on a knob and a decent wire, with a really big gap! 60km/hr winds didn't help me think clearly, but I'd love to come so it again not in a gale! Stellar exposure, and moves out of the cave easy with an easy to clip bolt if you look around.

Excellent escapade. Overhung Gr11 (?) p2 got me pumped! Friction book corner p4 in the dark got me hyped up on second!

Awesome climbing, found the pitch off the deck a little intimidating, but that's likely just me. Great moves the whole way and great to good protection.

Great to get on this classic and lead the whole thing! 2nd pitch not nearly as runout when tou can head round the arete! Last time 70km/hr winds kept me away from all the good holds and chicken heads... this time was super comfy with a carrot just when you need it before the top. 1st pitch can be made better protected, but you might need double ropes to get all the good gear. Easy and obvious climbing though.

Awesome climb. Good belay on top of boulder. Think pitch 2 I went right up arete beside chimney rather than up chimney? Well protected.

Great climbing and I think Adrian basically just slung knobs most of the way! Kinda like climbing a ladder made of those baby's head holds at the gym - didn't think that existed but there you go... Great climb! Couple of overhung (but straightforward) sections for full value.

Figured out my own gear this time! Lovely climbing and great to place a size 5 cam to reduce the runout! Fun times.
