Ascents of The Piesker/ Child Overhang

In my opinion this could go as a 5. If you’re 170cm or shorter, you probably have to cut feet going to that right hand. It’s a big throw. Definitely a great climb though, well deserving of the 3 stars

For me the mantle was the hardest of the 3 variations of the boulder, I cheated and used the metal bar to top out. I didn't took time to do it properly afterwards...

Need lots of mats

beta:

right hand up

feet up, right foot to rail hand level

left hand up to best thin slot jug, and slide it left

match with right hand

right foot digs in where first right hand was

hit the second last rail right hand on the right chalky side, full crimp

put in a left high heel hook

get left hand up to rail

unhook both feet

try finish with left hand, going directly up to the sloper, instead of left up

One of the best V4's in Sydney and scary as shit in the dark with no lights 🤣

Retrospective

Felt harder than the v5. Very fun moves!

Warming up. Pretty good holds, matching the thin slot to the right of the big chalk rail. Slapped the top but didn't commit enough to hold it.

last move was committing and honestly the mantle was a bit scary- h

Intimidating, and looks committing as balls, but not too bad once you're on it. Tried a number of feet going to the last rail below the lip, eventually just gave up and dyno'd, which worked surprisingly well. Now just the lip...
