Ascents as Red point as trad by Jim Croft

While waiting for Peri to arrive from York.

My first UK E2 lead, bold, but just enough small gear. Had worked out the lower crux as a boulder problem, then rapped down to inspect gear placements a few days later. Decided the thread was bigger than a fingers diameter (Guido's opinion) and went for the lead. I also had felt the chip and top out moves before abseiling down the route, so not claiming the on sight.

Trailed a rope for Ewan, but he found it too reachy being 6 years old.

A cold and frosty day, helicopter flew overhead to attend to someone who had fallen off Christmas Crack.

with Guido, pleased to have soloed it found it a hard lead, mind though that having no rack and not blocking jams with cams made it a bit easier that way.

with Guido, hard low down, delicate higher up. Traversed off at half height ledge after crux.

Downclimbed.
