Ascents as Tick as trad by Mark Gamble

Tough, but we made it.

Quick lap to set-up the top belay.

No rests 3rd try.

Very much a sandbag at 16.

Good & bad. Static loading is passable.

Wow, what a line. Pity I'm so *%$@ up at the moment, couldn't pull thru those crux moves. Nice gear all the way, just as well I had the #5 & 6 cams with for Pete to use.

Didn't have the stamina or guts to do this clean, but got there in the end :-(

A pretty ordinary climb, I only did it to get to Tale of Woe, and judging by the amount of lichen and moss happily growing on it, the first in a looonnng time.

P2 winds its way thru sheer vertical terrain about 80m up & I had to stop & recompose thoughts at this point. (That's climb speak for: I brown pointed it & had to change pants when I got back to camp.)

This route sure weaves its way thru some mega awesome & scarey territory, & in all honesty, I have to say I couldn't do the 10m corner crack (P2), but went up the blocky face to the left. After trying out the 1st few moves on this corner, & scoping it out from various angles, I conclude there's no way this section is a 9! P3 is very daunting at the grade. (See comment under Tale of Woe.) It shares its P3 with this climb, & it wasn't much less daunting 2nd time around today!
