Ascents by Henry Mueller

Cleaning route for Steph (she put it up and took pretty big whipper). Hung twice to have a good cry.

First 5.9 (minus) onsite

probably overgraded

Just flat out did not have the endurance. Hung on last bolt.

Took on the LAST BOLT. So ashamed.

Slipped at second bolt.

I did not think too much of this climb. I found it very easy as well.

Favorite at first trip to the Red.

I found it easier than the 5.7 in the same area. Very nice, though.

I liked the variety and flow of this climb. Really pushed myself to keep going through the crux.

1st pitch. Some recent scars at crux... broken hold perhaps?

No gear with us so ran it out at the crack.

I found this route very difficult for some crazy reason. Lousy technique most likely.

In the spirt of 7-11 at Franklin, could be named 6-9

First unplanned lead fall (foot slipped)

Did first half of Slippery When Wet direct start, then move right too soon. Finished up the pitch on the top part of some 5.10 just right of Slippery. Clearly not the crux of the 5.10 but fun moves. Recommended, actually.

Short but nice.

Led second pitch. Number 50!!!

P1 only. Nice, a bit scary (by which I mean I had to change pants after) due to the huge pointy boulder at the bottom.

Seven in new guide book (and that is generous).

Put the first draws up for the day and did not get them off the route until the afternoon. NRR fun.

Not a simple story. Essentially onsighted each pitch over two differnt days. Led second pitch this time.

Led 1st and 3rd pitches. Jason led second. Scary but not too hard.

The Climb Maryland book has a variation climb here but I really cannot tell the diff. You would have to be three inches wide to stay on just one of the routes the way the book describes them. Therefore, I picked the one with the higher rating for my ticklist to make myself feel better. Oh, and this is an 'R' IMHO due to a the nasty landing under the crux that you cannot completely protect.

Led "2nd" pitch this time. Don led the roof pitch in great style. I had a heck of a time seconding it. I have gotten weak nursing my finger.

Hard to tell for the guide book (Squeezing the Lemmon), but I think we did some sort of 5.8 variation. Scary scary move into the crack to the right of the bolt.

Did the proper finish this time

This is a sport route. Quite moderate for a sport route at Seneca.

Led 1st Pitch, Joe 2nd, James 3rd and 4th (with a direct start on 3rd)

Slipped on wet rock (no really) trying onsite. Lowered and did it clean.

Led 1st, Don led 2nd. Will have to come back and lead the second next time.

Almost fell seconding the 2nd pitch. Randomly popped a foot moving around the lip and ended up hanging on one arm. Scared the crap out of me.

Nice climb if you can find it amidst the choss.

"Praise Jebus and Hand Jams!!!" ~ verbal exclamation upon having my hand (actually fist, but same concept) jam epiphany on this climb.

climbed clean second attempt

Backed off this in twilight the night before, Don finished it using a headlamp.

Came back the next day and flew up it. It look very different in full daylight.

I just don't get the crux on this one. Used ugly, desperate technique.

Seconded Joe to critique gear, then climbed it on lead.

Led 2nd pitch (we did it as two). Don led 1st. Walked off instead of doing the second rap off pins. Some fools were top roping off these pins the day before!

Had never climbed Stupid's Corner before. Never will again.

Led 1st pitch, Don lead 2nd. 5.6- in new guide, which I tend to agree with.

Mother of God! did I ever screw up the traverse--way off route. Did ok once I got to the actual climb.

Scary but nice

Obvious but nice line to topout on the North-most peaklette. Gear was so-so

Really climbed it this time. Led second pitch. Very nice.
