Ascents in West of the access track

this time sans power scream sadly, even though I promised Ola, J Wiz, and Niesen a show. went rather smooth this time around. super stoked to get this one. a truly stellar route. TO THE DAY OF TICKS!

love a climb where i can dodge the hardest parts of two different climbs

My first ever trad lead. Fun and plenty options for placements (even though I ended up running it out a bit too much haha).

Loved it

Struggled to get the left foot placements which turned the desperation knob right up. Nice challenge for a noob like me.

Amazing climb and horrible form from someone at the Odin anchor kicking rocks down. Past the top crux i hear a mild call of rock and look to see a grapefruit sized rock come off the top, i turn and yell "ROOOOCK!!" watching it hurdle towards Mary down below, she ducks and turns her head as it explodes on the top of Warlock ledge in front of her.

He apologised to Mary (unharmed), said he had been trying to untangle his rope from a stick and had flicked the rock off doing so. But if the first rock was an accident and the second was inattention then this third one was just carelessness. So pay attention to the details when you're on the top as much as you do when climbing.

Was so pumped after lead burn couldn't link the start clean again but have it dialled now with better gear for the top that won't get stuck

First red point burn Was so frustratingly close About 1m from the flake next to the tree went to plug in a cam Was abit big got it stuck pumped out and fell trying to get it out to replace it Got some bomber gear in for the bottom on lead which was my main concern but that bit was smooth

Very close now, all moves free/one sit and doing red point attempts. Just need to stick one move and it’s over. Out of skin again, time to wait another week.

the draws were on! so why not give it a go! clean up until the stopper crux. was stoked with that effort. i shall return with stronger fingers and maybe frog feet?
