Routes as sport in Bourgogne / Burgundy

Historically, most routes did not have anchors on top and climbers would usually climb up to the very top of the cliff and walk to this way down path. This is why for a long time you would see most climbers climbing with a pair of regular shoes clipped to the harness. In 2012, the local CAF (French Alpin Club) equipped most routes with anchors on top and this steep way down path is less needed now. Still it is an easy way to reach the plateau on top of this massive cliff and enjoy the amazing scenery !

One of the first 7a in France ! The crux is not easy to read and the second part of the route will definitely kill you if you used all your energy in the first section.
