Ascents of Roter Baron

What a fight in the whole route! Cool moves:)

Already messed up a bit in the beginning (which is quite polished already, but it's okay), but you can sit on the ledge and get a clear head again. Then I realised in the crux that something was wrong and I couldn't do the next move, so I hesitated for a moment, realised that my right foot was in the wrong pocket, and barely made the move into the next crimper pocket. This pumped me up so much that I almost let go of the last mediocre hold before the juggy finish. Nice #lastrouteoftheday!

3rd shot. 2nd shot I fell off above the crux when I forgot about a key hold. A gnarly boulder off the ledge, with a pumpy finish. I skipped the complex sequence most seem to use, by doing bigger moves off worse holds (half-pad mono cranking FTW!) through the steepness.

Took a dive when I chose the wrong hold in the crux. Wanted to correct my grip position, which only made it worse. Then I almost fell off again while trying to get the draw into the next bolt (the only expansion bolt); the bolt is a bit too far on the left to be able to clip it nicely from the jug after the crux … it's okay with two draws.

Only time for the one shot. The entire crux headwall was heaps of pockety fun, but there was still half a move I didn't get sorted. Keen to come back, though.
