Ascents of Fillet of Arnold

Red point! Finally felt like I could rest properly at the 4th bolt. Got a nice body position and a paraglider caught my eye. Watching it against the blue sky I felt happy and calm. The top was still hard but I learned from previous whipper and kept my body nice and close to the wall while pulling over. Such a good feeling getting this one.

Got the right foot wrong in crux and couldn’t came off going to the left gaston crimp.

Still thought I had a chance of doing it but I think I was finally starting to feel tired. Hung at 3rd and 4th. Hopefully it will help with the fitness if I decide to come back. Two hangs.

Omfg! It is not possible to get closer to sending. Highest point that is not a red point. I fell off while stepping up onto the top of the route. Took a nice whip and ended up at the second bolt and couldn't be bother hauling up, so got lowered.

High point. Climbed to the 4th bolt again. Got on the two shitty crimps and threw wildly for the "jug" sloper. Took a nice whip. One hang.

High point. First time that I have climbed to the 4th bolt cleanly from the ground. Tagged the next hold and then fell. Rested and went to the top. One hang.

High point I got one hold higher on the route. Still stuck in the red point crux section above the 3rd bolt. Rested at the 4th bolt as well. Top is feeling easier.

High point. Climbed clean to the smallest hold (left hand) on the route, three moves above 3rd clip. Fell moving my right foot up over the lip while on the small left hand hold. After rest, climbed to 4th bolt, clipped and fell two moves afterwards on the bulge. After rest went to anchors. Two hangs.

Climbed clean to the 3rd bolt. Rested again at 4th and then tried to find the beta to the anchors. Found a decent hold but didn't go for it.

Somehow this route makes a hangdog seem significant. Climbed clean to 3rd. Rested then led to the 4th. Rested again then climbed to anchor. Finally made it to the anchor and happy with the progress.

Only had time for one tie-in. Did the two hard moves above the third bolt in isolation and took a deliberate fall to get a bit more comfortable. Seems like a really cool route. Need a proper session on it.

Just barely opened the account. Didn't try too hard. I clipped the second bolt clean first attempt and then tried a few more moves before bailing. My hands were freezing and the distance between bolts was a bit intimidating

Chuffed to have ticked this one off first go of the day, straight outta lockdown. A mega line that doesn't look like anything special from the ground, but offers consistently amazing movement.

Mega route! Almost sent second go but came off at the top when I stuffed up the sequence. Ran out of daylight for a 3rd attempt. Will be back for this gem soon.

Fun move down low (especially with the help of a clip stick), seems like a bit of an eliminate unless everyone just uses the crack?
