Ascents of Locomotion

This was a really cool route. I wasn't stoked the very first time I got on it, but was fun to work with Alta Lourette and we were hooked after the first session.

Whaaaaaaaa, I sent it!!! Second go on lead. I’m super stoked! What a cool route. What a great climbing community we have here in Cape Town 🥰

Ok there’s progress. We found the chains! 🤣 And made it to the top! Managed to stick the first crux which felt physically impossible! Everything is hard! The route is quite unique and excellent! Second burn I couldn’t even make it to the top or stick the first crux, it saps me from energy because it’s so sustained. Felt impossible again 😜 ah climbing, what a journey!

Wow, brick hard little thing! Slopey crimps sequence needs lots of practice, it’s pretty sustained with little rest and at this stage the top is a mystery 🤷 There’s a bail biner there for a reason 😆 We took turns putting draws up 🤣 Haven’t discovered the chains yet 🤪

Tricky route. The crimpy traverse at the bottom is excellent.

Excellent line and hard.

Solid 24. Had fun working this route, got 4th go second session. Much harder than the other 24s in this sector which I got 2nd go. Heel hook for the win. Climbed with Josh.
