Hi everyone, we are travelling around Australia and will be visiting Booroomba rocks area in March. We only carry with us minimum of climbing gear, enough for top roping. Can you please tell me of an area with some top roping possibilities, thank you. Got 70m rope. Or if we can hook up with someone to show us some climbs.
Best regards Danny
At booroomba you can top rope quite a few of the middle rocks climbs if you’re ok with setting up trad belays rather than double bolts. Same goes for a few climbs in south buttress but there aren’t too many
the middle rocks are listed as their own sector on this website. they are the walls on and around the descent track to the north buttress. you get to them by doing just that by taking the track to the north buttress and for topropes they are all pretty easy you can walk to the top of most of them
Hi Danny, toproping will be a bit tricky without some trad gear for anchors. There aren't many bolted anchors at Booroomba. It's also difficult to find the routes from above.
Maybe post something closer to the date and see if anyone is going out there.
