Can’t stick the one move

This felt so much easier the other day. Really needing a rest week but it’s our last day...

Only climbed to the first anchor. 6c? Haven’t done steep since my back injury and feeling the weakness!! Pretty pumpy. Didn’t even try the extension.

It’s 40 degrees and after two shots I’m 2 measly cm away from the crux hold. Pretty cruisy climb to a hard move. I am feeling pretty lazy and noncommittal after a month of this heat but it is nice climbing.

Hardest I’ve had to work for a flash for a long time. It’s also 40 degrees and my heart was trying to kill me but wow. Would be so nice in better conditions.

Didn’t enjoy it as much as scott. My thoughts were more along the lines of OMG WTF.

Route directly left of pinball. Tricky start due to dirt but pretty good.

Could actually pull some crux moves today. X2

Tough at the grade.

Second shot. Was still surprised as I could barely see with all the sweat in my eyes. Really good but would be quite special with less humidity.

Had a play on the start. When I say play.... I mean I grabbed the draws and pretty much pulled my way up. Got to first bolt no problems though...

Really good!

Yellow belly... cruised it. Just couldn’t face slipping and getting rope burn between my legs.... bit like the guy did after me.

Warm up repeat.

Brushing the holds made such a difference...

Repeat.

Last one of the day. Still a bit exhausted from the head cold. Good easy climbing even though I possibly made it look harder...

A little moment there when bees started coming out of the finger slot. I moved faster....

The polish and the sweat.....

Oh my, the polish, the sweat.... more so the sweat. I may have sworn a little. Good but so so slippery!!

Warmup of the day. Feeling a little tired!

...and then I realized how tired I really was! Still got to crux move and then from crux to anchor clean.

First shot bolt to bolt to warm up properly this time.. and not do a Dan Worked out a better anchor clipping sequence.

Absolutely cruised it. Not even pumped!

There really needs to be an option for all clean but fell at anchor. I’m mean... twice in a row.... 40m... I’m head butting the draw... isn’t that just a victory whip?? Twice... On a good note, took 2 massive whippers (3rd of Climb??) and my back was fine. Mind you, softest catch ever...

2nd day with no painkillers. Still not sure if my back can take a fall so did laps instead. Pretty sure this’d go now for sure. X3.5
