One move at 16

Hardest trad lead on this araps trip. Crux pitch was awsome. I missed the crucial jug on first 4 attempts/downclimb. First pitch was fun too. Big expoure getting to the belay ledge. I lead the 1st, 3rd, 5th pitch. Climbed with Matt. We were slowed down by groups in from of us. Climb is a 16

16 crux

Led crux. With Rick and Big J.

Some though provoking moves but great fun as well

Started in wrong R facing corner (closer to eskimo nell.) Linked P1+2 (horrible rope drag) Crux felt very hard at 15. A solid 16 I would say!! I went across and back about 7 or 8 times before committing to a very awkward sequence. Sam led the final 2 pitches. Ropes got stuck on top part of abseil

Fun, with some route finding required. If you have an arm and a leg stuffed into the crack under the roof, back off, you are missing a terrific jug elsewhere that will make you very very happy. Marcus followed all pitches. We ran pitches 2 and 3 together with massive rope drag on the left rope. Ignore the very attractive ringbolts and run 1 and 2 together instead, duh.

Another Classic! Speedy ascent with limited pro put in. Funky roof problem on gear..

Pitch 2 crux was bloody scary. Rest of pitch 2 was a bit average. Other pitches were great.

Pitch 3 was real nice

Accidentally started just left of Eskimo Nell instead of much further left, and gave myself terrible rope drag on pitch 1! Would have been much more enjoyable if not for that. Pitch 2's crux is pretty outrageous, though well protected with a BD #3 or #4 size cam.

I recommend this climb to everyone who loves heaps of exposure, heaps of scare and heaps "I need to find my balls and just go for it" moment.

P1 is a super pitch in itself. But P3 what can I say about you. There are no words to describe the feeling. You have to get on it to know it.

Surprisingly interesting and varied at the grade. However, a lot of meandering and some average pro takes away from it.

Alt with Dave. Nice and airy. I had to hang pack from waist and lower out from toe hook to get to jug. Must have missed something, or maybe it’s just poor shoulder mobility.
