Ascents of The Lute Original

Link up: Greasy Lute Boy, I lead a 60m pitch from the bolted anchor on Greasy Burritos to the right end of the Pitch 3 ledge on Syrinx, through veg and lichen, probably off route. Then dogged Boy Racer.

First pitch only with right traverse to rap chains. Really good all the way until the traverse.

looks like we copped out by following simeys guide. We'll go back and do the rest next time.

Did the full route for the first time in prob 30+ years. Avoided the scrubby crack of pitch 2 by climbing the corner just to its left. A bit of loose rock just below the roof at the start of the corner. Good route that's protected and climbs well. Traversing off to the rap station at top of pitch 1 is a bit of a cop out.
