Blackheath Area Bald Head Serendipitous Walls
23 | ★★ Unknown 5 (new for 2022) - with Heath Black | 35m, 16 | ★★ Very Good
Aside from a horrible start, and a silly anchor position, the other 30m of this route is enjoyable, sustained, an varied. There are a handful of hardish moves that probably make this 23, but for the most part it's continuous, rather than cruxy. The fact it tackles 3 rooves at the grade is pretty cool.

Lots of moves, but no shutdown crux. A climb of two halves, and both worthy. The upper section is hilariously unlikely.

23 | ★★★ Fastest Gun in the West - with Heath Black, Ben Sanford, Stephen Varney | 39m, 16 | ★★★ Classic
Awesome. No bad rock, and never a boring bit as it meanders up radical, improbable features. Possibly the best route at the crag.

Awesome, unlikely climbing with some mega positions. Even staying on the arete direct this isn't too hard, but it IS brilliant.

24 26 | ★★★ Serendipitous Arette | 55m, 14 | ★★ Very Good
Ummm 26 going on 23. If you forced yourself to climb 30cm to the right for one bolt it would be 26 but if you climb the crimps just to the left of the bolt its much easier. Still a quality route but not at the grade.

23 | ★★★ Fastest Gun in the West - with Will Vidler, Heath Black | 39m, 16 | ★★★ Classic
Total adventure up the wall with a tricky start to some tough final moves to really gets the forearms cooking, top it off with a full whale like mantle, and you have got yourself the newest classic in the blueys!

22 | ★★ Super Commuter - with Heath Black, Harry Kadi | 33m, 14 | ★★ Very Good
Would be a classic at so many other crags but it's just not quite as mega as it's neighbours. Wild and improbable climbing up a super rad feature with a little bit of everything to keep it interesting. A great route!

Awesome climbing, awesome feature, awesome rock! Absolute classic linking the scoops on this glorious orange wall. The must do warm up at the crag!

23 | ★★★ Fastest Gun in the West - with Heath Black, Harry Kadi | 39m, 16 | ★★★ Mega Classic
The line of the crag! This climb stands tallest amongst a crowd of giants. Top work Monty (and Evan for the excellent finalé)!! Awesome scooping to a crimpy traverse and wild finish up the prow, topping it all off with a mantle to clip the anchors! What an excursion!! Has some really crazy (but delicate) features that you might avoid holding so that others can behold them in the future! Plenty of well placed bolts, a bunch of air, some pump, some rests and a whole load of fun! Radical!! You can lower from the last bolt with a 70 (just) but otherwise re-thread at the first or second bolt.

Blackheath Area Bald Head Serendipitous Walls
23 | ★★★ Red Bellied | 28m | ★★ Very Good
Intimidatingly featureless on bullet-hard, slick rock... But surprisingly, with some technique, it's enjoyable and not too hard. The final rising traverse an intriguing end-cap to the pitch.
|
|||||||
22 | ★★★ Thickening Agent | 32m, 14 | ★★★ Mega Classic
About as good as a Blueys route can get at the grade (and quite tough at it, too), with generally pretty perfect rock up interesting scoopy features. Would be the trade route at any mainstream crag.

Ticked up and draws on this felt fairly easy for a 24. Most ascent wont be like this so it can stay a 24. Another super long route with so much fun climbing.
