Haha I have done this, alzheimers un-send. Hampered myself with rope drag and got spooked climbing off the ledge into ankle breaking territory. It would be good if it was straight up.
Soloed to the traverse ledge and belayer followed across on the ground. Made me happy to have no drag. The biggest jugs on this wall can be found right here
I messed up the length of the quick draws and by the time I got to the 3rd clip after the traverse I couldn't pull the rope anymore because of the rope drag 🙈.
For who ever goes up on this, after the traverse, unclip the first 2 quick draws after you climb past them.
A worthy addition. Consider moving your belayer to the ledge below the real climbing (making it two pitches) to reduce rope drag and make the moves safer off the ledge.
quite hard and reachy. pleasant enough but not sure it's worth the hassle of either bringing the belayer to the second ledge or putting up with the loop of rope
The traverse is just a walk across a ledge clipping bolts, then the first clip up after the ledge is after some pretty sketch moves, feels unsafe and not really worth it for the moves
Not sure why this doesn't get more stars, really fun climb with nice movement the whole way. Guess it says a lot for the quality of the climbing in porters.
