Ascents in Grand Junction Wall as Attempt

Sick! Felt much harder than weak as I am. Took a couple of shots to get through the low crux and then more than a couple for the second crux. Lowered off the perma due to waterfall over the break.

Fell on the last hard move because I decided that was a good time to change my mind about which hold I was tossing for.

Fell at the crux but worked out some mint beta. Rest of the route was soaking so I didn't bother. Should go next shot if the top doesn't have any nasty surprises

Hang dogged my way up, bailed at the last anchor. Too windy today, will come back another day when the draws are not getting blown away and I have more mental game for the last big move.

Went up this route thinking I was on Loop the Loop (25). Which is a sport route, so logically I did not bring any gear

Was told after I was halfway up the ~7m runout section that I was on the wrong route.

This was actually quite a nice climb with a few cool reachy moves, but a few medium cams would have certainly helped calm the nerves...

Didn't know what I was climbing, crag descriptions are not good. Got half way and decided I wasn't having fun and didn't want to commit to a thin boulder move.

Pumped out at the last bolt so took up and found some new beta

good if you like multiple big falls out of a desperate glassy mantle several metres above and to the left of your last bolt (up high; the lower mantle was fine). maybe i went completely the wrong way?? otherwise has nice climbing between the reachy start and the huge runout near the top

Got it clean until the roof. Was gonna call it mental redpoint as the rest of the roof was soaking wet, "it's probably finished after that, it all looks like jugs up there".

That would have been probably the most erroneous assumption of my life. Upon close inspection and reading of other thecrag struggle and aftermath stories, "It ain't over unit it's over".

Classic slab crux with funky feet making you feel like a ballerina gasping for breath; followed by some hard moves mingling along with plentyful rests. But the route is so long, I bet you would pump out resting on the biggest jugs, jugs that we pray for every anxious night before a nervous "I really want to this onsight" undertaking.

An alliteration apt for this climb, "Journey of jagged jugs jingling with juggernautic jazziness".

Be warned you won't be looking at 'jugs' the same way ever again.

Fell at all the cruxes. 5 days on + lots of sun makes for bad onsighting conditions

Got on it for the same reason I originally did, Loop was busy. Tried to remember 2 year old beta, with no fingers or skin left ... Feels like it should go easily when fresh. Maybe I've improved

Fell on the last move of the crux sequence.

Fell at the crux, my fingers just slipped when the sun came out of the clouds.

And the wall said 'Not today'.

Too cold. Couldn’t feel extremities and bailed at the 6th bolt. Sustained, interesting moves. Will come back.

Damn, couldn’t recover at all, and the crimps felt worse again.
