I had an hour to kill, so I free-solo'd this. Much more fun without a rope. Fairly enjoyable for a low-grade Blueys multi, and the high winds added an element of cataclysm. The only pitch I didn't enjoy soloing was the last one, due to the poor rock quality.

Second shot today, probably 8-10 total. Really enjoyed my time on this rig, tricky top crux which spat me off multiple times unitl i found a sequence that worked for me. Full value 25 blue mountains face climbing!

Great start move with many variations. Same with the crux in the middle. Unfortunately, went for some very thin features on the on-sight and didn't see the finger pocket on the left. Ice-cream grade though!

Pitch 3 (23) only. Flash First Ascent! Neil was a seriously good sport to give me all the beta and encourage me to do the FA, despite only needing to return on another day when rested to score the FA for himself. An interesting techy start leads to a stance, then it's all on through pumpy steepness (and via improbably good holds despite the terrain) to an all-out huge deadpoint to the anchor, while 70m above the Bentrovato ledge below. Awesome!

Both pitches as a giant single pitch (with an 80m rope) as a warmup... I was definitely warm by the end of it! If we chopped down the tree-start, and we could find some way to remove the halfway ledge, this might be the best 24 in the Blueys. The 1st pitch is okay, but the sustained and increasingly difficult 2nd pitch is consistantly technical and engaging, and demands that you dig deep to fight through the crux just below the anchors (especially as a warmup). Not QUITE classic b/c ledge.

First shot today, executed the crux statically. That move is way harder than Swinging in the Rain, and with a pumpier headwall before hand. I don't like raising grades, but that is the conclusion drawn by a few of today's ascensionists.

5th shot of the day to the top anchors (now I have to chop the lower ones). The easy-ish start (21?) leads to a stance before you blast into a brief 9m section of punchy hard climbing with funky weird moves (heel hooking and arete slapping) all the way. Really stoked with how this thing turned out. Not sure of the grade, because I worked the crux sequence to death over 3 hours non-stop, but when it finally went 5 shots later it went with only a moderate struggle. Might be 25.
