Ascents in West Face (Main Area) as Retreat

Seems pretty plank at the first pitch, not sure if there just some holds broke, or this is just a little thin.

Last climb of the day, will come back with more light and time.

Had to poop. Probs scared considering the epic time I just had on its neighbour. Then it was time to go home. Oh well, until the next rainy summer's day in two years time (my current Binary Cave visit frequency)

Pulled a damn muscle in my neck as I was going up from the 3rd (?) bolt. Think it was the combo pressing down and reaching up move. Had to bail. Keen to try again next time.

Found the 20m juggy grey wall below a small orange overhang. Grade 5 lichen jugs, ledge at 6m, vegetated crack at 8m so could be pro enough to go. Made 3 moves and retreated.

I wasn’t that motivated to try this

Thought I'd done about a grade 26 crux only to get cruxed out at the next bolt, ended up back jumping to clean. I think I could see a way but who knows, good climbing but dunno if I'll be hurrying back.

Led pitch 1 before retreating due to the cold and traffic on the route. Fingers went numb half way through.

Broke what seems like a very crucial hold at about bolt 4. Not sure it goes at the same grade anymore 😢

I got to second bolt and rain came

Aborted due to soaking wet holds and rain near the top.

Made an after work attempt with Alex during a (slightly shorter than anticipated) break in the rain this week. Cruised up the first pitch and started on the second pitch just in time for the heavens to open up. I got drenched in seconds as the climb turned into a waterfall. Bailed off a ring and we rapped back to the ground

Couldn't do the move going over the lip so i gave up.

Started promising but bailed towards the top of P2 as properly wet.

First pitch was dry, second was soaked

Not going to happen with wrist today.

Pitch one was kinda crappy and since we were up there might as well have a jab at the second…

Climbed the first two (linked together), then ran out of light and had to bail. Some beautiful moves and some dodgy rock, a bit more of a mixed bag than expecte really. The first pitch was quite classic, but the second sucked really. Will be back to check out the upper pitch later.

Nails start. Went back to the easier variant.

To hot and pooped.

Had a bit of a go since draws on. Gave up just before gaining head wall.

Had a scope out and got one draw higher. Really ups the difficulty from the first move off the anchor! Looks mega and one to come back to when I have a little more wizardry!

Whipped on the crimpy bit 2/3rds up, went home

Missing all the good holds and pumping out on soapy stuff. Had a proper fall near the start.
