Ascents of Showpiece

Suppose to have done as a end of day toppy, but bailed at the look of having to rap clip the original start (far left corner), to give Zac the pleasure. Weird button head bolting.

Closeness to the highway makes it feel like you're in some weird Mazda commercial.

A great old-school climb, though damned hard for the grade. I didn't read the guide and didn't bring any trad gear, so "somewhat runout" was more in line with "rather dangerous". The dirty, vegetated start detracts from the great climbing that commences once you reach the orange slab. From then on it's on to the top-out, with a stunning variety of moves out to the exposed prow and up. What's with the stupid new cup-head set-screw threaded bolts used to replace the original carrots on this?

If this is the best climb here, I won't be back.

who said you needed wires for the the bolts, i didnt even try the bolt plates and pumped stupid.. but i got it..

Tough for 19! Thin in middle.
