More progress made today with lower half and top section after the crux. Beta is fairly solid now so will begin giving it some good burns and links. Next milestone : the one sit hang.

Made some progress today with the hard start off the deck. Still need to refine the beta before the crux as it’s taking a good chuck of energy getting to the jug rest.

In the morning I was Stoked to get new high point to rest. Found a way to milk it. Had a breakthrough and figured out some very repeatable beta for the top crux. Tidied up the lower half.

In the afternoon, had an unfortunate event with one of the upper crux holds which I’ll detail in the discussion section.

Lots of progress. Managed to figure out the cruxes at the top. Streamlining the bottom half. Even so , Feels very far off. Just plugging away.

Increasingly harder set of moves to the top. Can’t work out the top two cruxes. Had one exploratory lap before the rain hit

Good intro day, all the moves done albeit with difficulty. Finger should be up for the task, the power endurance maybe not

Very cool.

I didn't do anything dynamic at the end and clipping the 5th draw was OK. Get on it.

Skin wasn't really up to the task, but will be keen to go back. Did all moves except what I presume is the crux to the blobby section. Didn't seem easy!

3 more laps. Had to baby the hell out of my busted shoulder, but felt so strong through all the hard bit, even attacking it as long sequences in the arctic cold. Just need it to get better before it gets too hot, cause this is so much fun to try hard on.

2 more shots. Good progress despite hideous conditions (the ironstone holds were just wet in the alpine freeze!). Got all the moves sorted, and managed a 1-fall in overlapping sections. Finally figured out my crux clip. Game on...

NB: Shoulder exploded a few days later... Game off.

3 Laps. Good to get back on this and start piecing it together again. Not great linkage, but the moves felt easier than I remember. It's linking them that's hard. Super-sustained steep face climbing with a gnarly finale!

Good to take advantage of the cold and wind to get this sent second shot today. Turns out skipping the crux clip is the secret to success.

4 laps today. Pretty grim in the conditions today but I pushed on anyway dialing the moves. The crux of the route is the V5 clip

2 laps today. It's been a long time since I've been on this, but it felt the best it's ever felt today (a lot of the moves I struggle on normally felt okay), which left me feeling confident... EXCEPT that I still cannot clip the crucial crux draw (which I can't afford to skip, due to high probability of grounding) on link. Unless I eventually work out that clip (which is quite substantially the crux of the entire route to me), there's no point pursuing this route anymore.

Beta refinement. Don't think I'll be able to link the start of the crux in a hurry. Back to training I guess.

Same as what Jenga said, except for finding the moves easy and sending it in cooler temps easily. but otherwise... all moves go, linking will definitely require some more power endurance.

Great to finally try this beast. I am surprised to find it isn't as hard as I thought.

Did all the moves first shot, second shot linked half way through the top crux and spooged off going to the good left clipping edge. Should go pretty easy with cooler temps.

Hey it had draws in so had to try. Hard boulder start. Then bolt to bolt untill the trickery at the roof. Then the fun really starts. Too gassed to get onto the upper headwall. Anyone know who is working the route.

3 more shots. Still a long way from tickage, but I DO enjoy the intensity of this climb. No new highpoint today, as I had to re-remember all the beta again, but finally put together a viable sequence for the main headwall (thanks for the beta Mitch P!), and refined sections on the lower half. Unlike last time, I was consistently getting through most of the lower half.

2 more shots. The first just remembering how to climb it and dial sequences, the 2nd with some linkage and minimal downtime. Still not sure how to clip the top 2 bolts... biiig runout maybe? Still quite a way from ticking it, but its thoroughly enjoyable. Classic.

Exploratory lap in rubbish (damp) conditions. A real CLIMBER'S CLIMB (as opposed to Zapt), but sustained and quite hard work. I really enjoyed this. Put together all of the sequences with a few falls and rests, but putting this intense number together could be a big ask. I suspect it will be worth it, though, as the huge variety of moves, thin, technical and powerful make this one an intriguing number. The final LAUNCH could be a heartbreaker. The large-grain sandstone spoils the quality of this
