Roof crack hand jam traverse is awesome

Great climb and very engaging second pitch for a 16 - we’ll deserved classic!

Such an epic line which goes through wicked terrain. My psych was down due to a 37km hike day before, but laybacking, jamming, traversing the roof, all was amazing. Mark - so long, and thanks for all the fish.

I forgot how much fun the roof crack was, connected both pitches.

Brilliant outing, but poorly protected with serious consequences in a few places, if you don't carry a monster cam. Mind blowing what they were doing in the 60's with gear they had.

Good value climbing. Has a bit of everything...chimney, slab, layback, jams!

Great as usual, did this to get out of the valley, love the roof jams and flake laybacks.

An excellent climb with an entertaining combination of hand and fist jams, a chimney, some laybacks and also a hand jam roof section!

The slabby feet for the roof jam were slick with seepage which made it a pure roof crack climb, beyond my current abilities. I will have to come back with better foot jam technique to reattempt the second pitch.

Also there is a surprise third pitch of choss to top out if you don't want to do some unprotected traverse to finish off on Thor

Hard and easy enough

First pitch was kind of meh. For bonus value, commit to the roof crack, and avoid the temptation of the slab… otherwise it’s super chill if you just traverse the corner crack.

I really enjoyed leading the 1st pitch, especially the slabbyness after the offwidthy chimney stuff. Spent both pitches in regret for not reading the route description before hand, and leaving the #5, #6 and #7 cams in the car. Would of been great to have. Can go without though just about. Some big hexes helped. I think the guidebooks 2 stars is more fitting.

feels like a baby sibling to spartan in the bluies, first pitch and all. did not heed local advice and found the roof a bit more cruxy than usual due to spooge nation. biggest piece was #4 and sure its fine, but if you enjoy stress free climbing, bring a #5.

Rad features, had a hell of a time. Maybe (definitely) I'm just really bad at jamming, but calling this 16 seems a bit misleading.

Just as good as ever

Did second pitch, which is definitely the best one. That roof crack is awesome climbing, hand jams and almost campusing. Bring a few yellow cams for it.

Unreal climbing in an awesome position! Absolute mega classic and must do for all jam frothers and granite lovers. First pitch is really nice but second pitch is the money. Awesome layback moves up a slab until you hit the roof then its basically hand jam campussing the roof crack with minimal feet! Absolutely mega!! Would do again.
