Ascents in Beehive Area having Beta

Nowhere near close ahah. Cruxy from start to last bolt. Pretty much sat at every bolt.

Pretty solid climb. Will have to get stronger to get through the crux

First attempt on top rope. Sent on second attempt. Good variety of moves and holds.

Good climb (except for the anchor situation)

My first climb in Beehive area. Managed to get 2 bee stings while halfway up the wall.

Nice to clean up this old dog. Took some time to sort beta then it went pretty cruisy on the send burn.

Using tape definitely helped this feel better but still hard on the fingers. Moves are all okay but need to try again when I'm a bit fresher

Ohooo what a start. Kept on barn-dooring, keen to try it again.

Really nice once you work out which holds to use. Final traverse is pumpy and easy to drop. 3 or 4 tries. Moves sorted

2 goes, one sit second go when I forgot the sequence. Painful, really needs anchors

Rpt, was worried it may be wet but it was pretty good.

Really nice climbing, dogged it to the anchors after an onsight attempt getting to the 5th bolt. 4 burns after that but was pooped. Hopefully will go fresh, a pleasure to burn away on!

Sick route! Sustained crimping, on the whole way. Took a while working out beta and which holds to use.

Felt good, just out of beans. Beta much more dialled, keen to come back for a send burn.

Thought I was trying the 23 direct start, didn't realise it is meant to climb direct to the 3rd bolt. Another time I'll go more direct!

Fell on the last hard move twice. Trying to still be happy with having enough margin to just about send 2x24 after being hella fatigued from yesterday.

Consistent moves until the jugs. Not too hard for the grade, a couple clips to be careful with. Very good fun!

Such good fun! Again, very consistent until the jugs. Lowered off yellow box and hung draws and inspected holds. Flash?

Got pumped mucking around looking for the titular jam. Turns out it ain't necessary. A very average route.

Warmup. Slipped at the start and got lost following the good holds right (away from the bolts) in the upper section above the ledge.

Flash go fell apart at the moves around the 3rd bolt.

A bees dick from grabbing the jug at the end of the crux.

EOD hail mary and wanted it enough that it happened. Felt like the hardest route I did all day.

Slipped climbing the wrong side of the first bolt. Went next go. Pumpy as a warm-up!

One I've been meaning to get back to for a long time now. Really fun climbing up to a funky crux.

First climb of the day. Michael thought this was a 16 and convinced me to leave the approach shoes on for the warm up. I now have significant trust issues.

Warm up.

Day 2. Skin had not recovered overnight and everything felt glassy.

Warm up with no idea of the grade. Apparently I was feeling strong as this felt easy for the grade after the first 3 bolts.

About 4 attempts and the skin gave way. Amazing line. Just sharp crimps and technical moves for 4 bolts. Just need to block out the pain to get up it!

Found this one hard. Took a few cracks this day went on the last crack of the day. New crag favorite outside the cave.

One sit. As is the case around these parts, it can be very easy to miss holds.
