Great fun, going to have to work up to the direct start

Don't know how i'd place gear if I was on lead.

Hmmm, bridge or actually climb the pillar. I did a bit of both. Nice and difficult getting back into the crack, I gave it about three goes. First one I realised my gear was where my jams were, therefore had to move it down. Second, got the jams, but feet missed there mark, I pumped and made a desperate back climb. I would've fell if my jam didn't slip onto a mysterious hand hold (my high nut placement). Very thin hand jams, I couldn't get the butterfly jams working. The direct start is the only way to do this if you can. Otherwise wait until you're better.

Spooky trying to get off the pillar into the crack. 27.6.04: (2nd) A rewarding climb with a scary bit in the middle. Awesome hand jams :-D

Attempted the direct start but backed off by bridging onto the pillar

did it after I'd done the DS. Not as much fun as the direct

Led to retrieve my stuck red cam.

Great technical jambing in the middle section. Wasn't quite sure how to finish it off.

20 in the current Frog guide. Harder than 18, but soft at 20. Started up the direct start, after 4-5m i wasnt feeling it so i stemmed to the top of the pillar to place a piece of gear, then continued up. Okay climbing, but not great. Tricky move off the top of the pillar to get back into rhe crack.

Quite good. Getting to the tree from the ledge is worthless though.
