Ascents of Yanick the Abel

Bittersweet feelings! Happy to finish off this project, will miss being able to come out here when I had no other plans and take in all the beauty of the surrounding ranges. What an amazing journey. First ascent was done on pre placed gear, would be happy to see someone red point this, though I wasn’t keen to break my ankles with gear that I found tough to aid on Easier 27 with preplaced, would be a very tough 27 placing gear on lead

Back to business! Total overgrown crag clean up

Came very close to sending placing the gear. Got through 1st crux and dropped it going for good finger lock after Red point crux... very psyched Thanks for a great day Matt

Had a play on top rope with ryans permission. This will be committing and hard! Did all the moves but I don’t think I will ever have the courage to try it on lead haha.

Go time!! 1-2weeks of no rain should see this thing done

Finally made the crux while it is still wet, one sit at the “rest” then took it to the top! So stoked time to lead this thing
