It’s abit of a 1 move wonder
Messed up the roof crux and went for a sloper out to the right
Next to go for the layback in the v crack to the flat jug

Had a great time today. Lead the shorter pitches and seconded the longer pitches, which suited my style. Had to rest in the top section of pitch three; the backpack made the overhangs super pumpy. Very happy with the onsight of the final pitch.
Walked in with Wen and Marty, and met them again at Halfway House, them having topped out Troposphere only moments after us finishing Aphelion. Absolute perfection. 👌

After doing troposphere a few times, we wanted a bit more of a challenge. This lived up to the hype! Easy adventuring first pitch, great bouldery 2nd pitch. Long and pumpy 3rd pitch but with great rest spots then another bouldery 4th pitch with some awkward mantles. So good!

Pumpy! Bailed at p3 anchors - p4 was completely soaked | 77m | Mt Tibrogargan | ★★★ Classic | Wed 28th Dec 2022 | ||||

Accidentally linked P2 with the start of Remains of the Day. Whoops!
I started up P3 and after having to fight through the crux it became apparent that this was either the worst sandbag ever or we were off route. I lowered down a bit to review the terrain and eventually another party, who leapfrogged us on ROTD, called out that we should be 15m to the left. I was worried about time (and partly couldn't be arsed climbing the 21 again to clean the route), so we pulled the rope from the highest quickdraw and rapped back to the top of P1, ROTD.
There were some really cool moves up through steep rock and two shallow chimney features. Would be keen to come back and climb this whole route properly. |

Enjoyable route! The first pitch seemed pretty stiff at the grade, but could be lack of fitness or shaking off the cobwebs. Pumped out and got the sequence wrong at the crux on the third pitch, one rest saw me pull through the moves. I didn't encounter and loose rock, I'll be back to send.

Nice route, pitch 3 has quite interesting moves. We wanted to do the 17 variant of p4 on the right hand side but must have gone for the wrong anchor after the roof on p3. From the anchor we were on, the bolts on the 17 were waaay far to the right and below us, so we decided to do the 24 left hand variant instead. The hard reachy 24-move is beyond my skills so had to pull on a draw to get to the jug. When rapping off from Airtime, it's a good idea to saddlebag the ropes.

Cool route, interesting climbing. Had heaps of fun on this adventure. Be careful of loose blocks and chossy ledges. There are a lot of bees on pitch 4 as well. We climbed to the right a bit and up into the bush to avoid them. Also description should say to rap straight down to the left from last anchor. Matt ended up in the obvious ‘vegetated gully’ on the right and had a near death experience with falling boulder 😅

Pitch one and two were lots of fun! Cool upper slider-like first pitch with lots of slopers. Straightforward second pitch with some particularly loose feeling death boulders, however third pitch is super chossy, had to carefully make my way through the overhung section to not shower my belayer in choss! Bailed after reaching the fourth pitch. Will definitely come back to finish the final few pitches.

Made an early start hoping to beat the heat and although we lucked out with cloud coverage and a good breeze, our early arrival meant a very damp first pitch from showers during the evening.
The black lichen of pitch 1 was like climbing wet glass and required some French free climbing for the first three bolts. Beyond the tree line was nice and dry, particularly after the sun hit. I'll certainly be back to retry the first pitch in the dry, as it seemed like it would otherwise be enjoyable. The route was climbed using a pair of 60m doubles, clipped as twins. We descended via Airtime Over Pumicestone without issue. Pitch notes:

We only climbed p1-4; p5 & 6 sound like a hassle and not worth it.
p2-4 were real fun! All routes are nicely bolted (no risky run outs), 2-3 cruxy exposed moves on p3, but all well protected.
We used an 80 m rope; abseiling without issues; (make sure to rap down p4 closer to the 24 than the 17, otherwise you might get stuck), we used the anchor of Leaving on a Jet Plan (straight down p2 instead of traversing over to first anchor of Banished). Sun til about 12.30. Great day! |

A very nice route, pretty straightforward and well bolted (it’s basically sport). Left a maillon on the bare FH at the pitch 6 anchor to rap, I didnt have a spanner so it’s not torqued up. Ran out the last pitch a little, only had 4 draws left to link the pitches with, it was easy terrain with an engaging move in the middle.
Thanks to Ryan Siacci for gifting the leads to Alex and I, and to Alex Mougenot for letting me bag the crux! (Even if it’s not quite 21). A fun arvo out with good folk! |

bit of a mish trying to find the start. its the FH to the left of the pillar (pillar has a tree on it adorned with a sling that people use to rap off of). We couldn't find the elusive square that signposts the start of sunburnt.
First 5 pitches were solid and i had a great time. The 10-20m solo at the end is ridiculous, I missed the line going to the anchors and ended up topping out just to the right, into a minefield of cobwebs with fist sized spiders. Here I was, perched precariously on the lip of the top out, 10+ meters of rope swinging merrily below me, heart hammering in my chest, and only one way forward, through the barrier of spiders. I ended up army crawling through the cobwebs until the ground leveled out, and could support some decent sized shrubs for a top anchor. Probs one of the scariest things i have ever done. |

Another great day for climbing. Lots of climbers out and about today. Another party was following us up this great route. Could hear a large group enjoying themselves at Candy Mountain. We exited by rapping into cave 5, down the caves route to cave 2, then rapped down Zeitgeist which I thought would be free, but there was another party heading up Zeitgeist. Would have continued down caves route if I'd known. No biggie - used the other set of anchors off to the left which kept us (mostly) out of their way. Fun times!

Such a fun day out with Grace. My crux was the bolt spacing on the 16 slab on the 8th pitch, a bit heady making delicate moves knowing the fall would be gross.
I should have skipped some bolts on the 18 that I led as the rope drag was pretty bad and there was an excess of bolts for once on Tibro ha! The 7th pitch was clearly the crux of the whole climb. Looking forward to climbing it again one day and leading the other pitches! |

Only did the first pitch. I"m guessing this is an onsight, but can't remember. The Crag doesn't show any of my ascents from more than 10 years ago sadly.

Super cruisy route with more protection than the description suggests. The moves felt easier than Clemency. Pulled off a few loose bits but still highly recommend this climb.

Rope drag was a problem for the longer pitches, definitely recommend bringing up a decent number of extenders.
Extremely hard to hear verbal call/response between belay stations on the final pitch (when I was top belaying from the top of the route). Had to text message to communicate.
First pitch was easy but not fun; very blocky and the opposite of steep.
Pitch three and five were standouts - really loved the boulder problem at the start of the third pitch. Some cool exposure on the fifth pitch with a couple of nice moves (but terrible rope drag).
Took nearly two and a half hours. Would hope to do it much quicker next time.

Stuffed up and went left on the second pitch then had to traverse back. Had to rest on gear . Crux on pitch 3 took a few tries to go but went eventually.

Tried our first crack at running twin ropes to save time and simul-belay pitch one. Ended up in a bit if a cross over which made for some mega drag. That aside, climbing was good without being great. Worth a go? I guess so.

A steady, consistent, enjoyable climb, but by the end of the third pitch I was feeling quite tired, having pulled a 60 metre rope up first and third pitches and also carried a backpack of gear up the third. Some loose rock, so test all hand and footholds thoroughly before committing to them, especially on lead. Rock surface is good, getting enough climbing to keep it clean, but not enough to polish it or wear edges smooth. A good introductory climb for sorting out sport multi-pitch technique and procedures.
We did it by moonlight during a large-scale burn-off of the surrounding area. Hearing loud crashes below us and looking down in time to see great showers of sparks flying up into the air added a unique and very memorable surreal element to the experience. Why do I get a never-ending "Searching..." going on in the "Lead by" fields every time I click in them? First pitch lead by Fraser, second pitch by me, third pitch by Jason. Descended through the caves, abseiling part of the way. A THOROUGHLY enjoyable, memorable night out. |

Nice day out! Only up to pitch 6. Needed to rap down for reasons, and time was an issue. Crux on P1 was a dripping mess after 2 weeks of rain, but rest of the route was dry. Was still pretty easy. Cool climbing on P1.
Linked 1&2, 3&4, 5&6 and rope drag was manageable using extenders. Abseiled from top of P6 on a single 60, a little fiddly due to the slab but no problems, having the intermediate rap anchor on P2 is great. A nice easy ramble, agree that everything in pitches 2-6 is pretty straightforward Tibro scramble. Would be a great easy cruise to the summit if I’d finished it, should be popular. Bolting is great, no shortage of hardware. Great job guys, thanks for the route! |

A unique climb and well worth a trip. Didn’t bring trad gear and ended up running the last trad pitch as a linkup, which made it the highlight of the climb, good rock with clean moves.

Completed the climb, fist three pitches were definitely the best. Top two pitches were quite slabby and a bit mossy, complete with a couple of tenuous looking blocks which need to be used if you want climb at the grade.

Fun day out. We did the left variant for pitches 3-5 mentioned in a previous comment, which definitely added variety (and a very cool flake). Pitches 9 and 10 had the most interesting climbing, but the scramble down the tourist track might have been the hardest part of the climb led odds, Chris led evens.

Michael and I got up bright and early Sunday morning and commenced climbing at 6:30. Linking pitches 3+4 & 5+6. We were able to finish climbing before the sun became bitey. Opting to walk down the trail, opposed to rapping in the sun, can't tell if the right decision made hahaha sure was sweaty!
