Super cruxy (I did the pocket sequence dynamically for airborn fun) surrounded by easier but engaging climbing. I only had wires and a few cams (most of my gear was being used by others on Sirrocco P1) which made the climbing even more exciting. A nice introduction to Taipan

Amazing! Was intending to do dance of life but opted to finish up this instead! Great long pitch that would get 3 stars anywhere else, nothing too hard but was definitely fighting the whole way. With a long stick clip the aid faff isn't too bad and is fine from the ground so don't let it put you off!

Possibly one of the best pitches I've ever done, certainly at the grade! The fear was real and had crept way up inside me, to the point I was about to bail, but so very pleased I didn't succumb to the phaffy choss corner malarkey

start was a mish, maybe rap in and hanging belay next time? climbed on doubles and rope drag still ended up being horrendous but climbing wasnt too bad. incredible route, will be back again

Really nice climbing between slightly spaced but good gear. Climbed on one rope and drag wasnt crazy but bring extenders. Cleaning on rappel was a mission though and required some serious thinking/swinging hahaha. The rap is 45m, our 80m got us to the higher ledge with Rach pulling me in

interesting climbing with a no footer traverse ending in a mantle. bloody sandbag crux dyno below the traverse. if you have kent strength you can match your hand and foot and pull statically for the jug or else just throw wildly like i did. the bolt protection at crux provides peace of mind. scariest thing is rapping off the rotting tape fixed to a dodgy looking block.

Surprisingly fun route. Should get a danger sign though, many of the cruxy moves have deck potential or tree hitting. Techy and rad!

nice line and even nicer that i could avoid the crack! lead the first pitch only which is about grade 19. crux moves on the steep headwall of last pitch but it's certainly not as "committing" as the guide book claims it to be. watch out for rope jam on the rap descent or else you'll have to jug back up like i did! thanks rich!

A great long pitch to say you have climbed on taipan. Good gear the whole way with a bomber wire on the last head wall protecting the tricky and reachy finish.

Cool to do something on this end of the wall. A really cool easier tradventure. Getting off was unexpectedly involved (soloing down into the chimney behind to eventually reach a rap station).

Onsight Lead Roped Solo. I would've liked to try free-soloing this, but it was raining and wasn't worth the risk. The first pitch has a fun start and conclusion, but ordinary climbing otherwise. The 2nd pitch is much more exciting, with the crux moves monkeying right off the belay being particularly exciting on Lead Solo. Reasonable gear and climbing the whole way. Would be a classic easy trad lead in the Blueys.

Yeah! On JengAs gear. The actual climbing might be in the easier 25 category (when you have the beta) but rope drag and boldness are both factors that make this harder than actual moves. The start up the Seventh Pillar is classic in itself, but the moves up Medusa make the awesome icing on this intense cake. Inspiring rock, rad movement. Many small sloping crimps.
