Absolute bullshit I have to log this as a hangdog. Was above the 4th draw and managed to rip off a bucket jug sending me sideways. Belayer is ok, hold wasn’t crucial, climb still goes. Apart from this, no takes or whips. That in mind, the climb is still an awesome adventure. About half a dozen mantles, some spicy exposure on the arete, and an abundance of jugs (-1 jug from today)

29 degrees at 8am... a perfect day to chase some Hawkesbury sendage. Cleaned this one up from a previous trip. May need to let this one dry for a few days after the amount of sweat I dripped on all the holds. Done in two pitches. The first is merely an access pitch and is fairly low quality. The second pitch is the money. Cruxy start with a fairly heady move off the first bolt. It eases to a glorious jug haul from there with just enough sand present to have you questioning the permanence of the holds. Sit down rests everywhere. One of the better sport routes at Jolls IMO.

Our very very sweaty climb out. Pitch 1 The first pitch is a rather botanical excursion with some bold moves on dirt coated holds. An exciting pitch indeed. Nonetheless a fun old school route with 2 distinct cruxes. I think strictly I did Woodface Direct however I also did the second pitch so logging here. Slabby and technical. Pitch 2 A wholly different beast. Found this to be quite hard for the grade despite its shortness. The holds are all there but there certainly isn't any spare ones. Tree belay at the top.

For some reason I was expecting an easy first pitch then a harder second pitch, but it's the other way around for this version. The bit shared with VD totally threw me (something something chalk, spooge, loose shoes, surprise sport climbing).

low key groundfall from slipping just before reaching the carrot, on wet feet and soapy hands. got back on but had to aid past the carrot eventually, lowered off the next break for rope gun Nat to take over. Will definitely come back under better conditions. The lesson of the day was that I really really need to refill my chalk bag.

Slipped off at reaching move at second bolt. Second pitch went clean but felt quite a bit harder. Either belay off tree or use the u bolt and carrot to set up a belay on face of second pitch.

This climb is a lot of fun with the exposure, but had to rest on a few of the higher draws due to pump. Felt harder than a 19 to me, even without considering the length of the route.
